Any idea about the growing zones for this tree? We are on the line between Zones 7 & 8, with some cold winters of ice and snow.

Grow zones are actually 9 up for outdoors. These are very commonly grown in other zones in greenhouses and indoors as Bonsai trees. I am in Zone 8 Myself, I grow mine in my greenhouse as with a lot of the seeds I get for higher zones. The trick with growing these or Tropical plants is not only to water them but use a mist spray on the leaves one a week to keep them healthy. I usually use the liquid fertiziler spray for misting. But that's up to you. Another thing is a lot of people like to sit them in windows for light. This is good but most windows still allow the cold to seriously damage plants and trees. To Combat this, you can move the plant / tree away from the window and still get light or get a grow light. These lights don't have to sit on the tree / plant. I use lights that are placed in recess lighting that are 6ft min above the plants. As long as they get around 10 hours of light they will grow fine. If you have any other questions let me know.
