The listing, 45 Purple Hyacinth Bean Seeds has ended.

A lovely, easy to grow hardy zones 4-10 climbing vine which blooms for up to 12 weeks and produces columns of purple flowers and purple seed pods. Dark green foliage. Beautiful and striking. FULL SUN.

Great for fences and bowers.

Harvested from my "organic" garden for 2011. Winner gets all the beans I have.

INSTRUCTIONS:
To Start Indoors - Soak beans overnight in fresh water. 4-6 weeks before last frost,
plant 2 seeds/container. Thin, leaving strongest, most purple seedling. Transplant outside after danger of frost is past.

To Start Outdoors - After last frost, sow 6 seeds/square ft.

technically at some point in their early stages they are edible, but they become poisonous at some point also, so i wouldn't try it unless i knew a professional hyacinth bean cook. ;)

i love these..these are beautiful very easy to grow plants..I won 5 seeds 2 weeks ago and they are already over a foot long and trying to vine in my house...lol...I would love a yard full of these..most flowers you get maybe 2 out of 5 seeds to germinate..but no these..can't wait..I am bidding high on these..these are well worth it to me..thanks

Thank you! A yard-full would be stunning! I won't be around home this summer to grow them so I'm giving them away. Someone should be able to have these stunning plants!
