Ok here's another one of my toys...this is a GRUNDIG MINI 300 portable shortwave am./ fm radio with built in clock and alarm clock has long telescoping antena for the hard to tune in stations... this is pretty cool if you travel or just want a nice little pocket radio for camping for such.. works perfect and comes with batterys ready to use this unit is only about 4 inches tall about about 2 inches wide and has a real nice internal speaker or you can use headphones with it

HI akjeff, do you think this would work offshore? Say about 25-35 miles off the coast?

yes it will work off shore... it has a 2 foot telescoping antenna too...the silver part comes out almost 2 feet... haha as for the keyboard... ya it is only about 7 years old.. but it still works.. and is the origenal one that came with the computer

Well what are you going to list? Anything that has to do, or would be good for fishing or boating? This radio seems like a good deal for me as I always worry about not being about to call for help should anything happen offshore. Even though we have a radio like this ( the old style CB radio) this would be a good back up. So I dont know whether to bid on this or wait till your next listing. Help me out here Jeff.

ok lets see here... first ... it is not a transmitting device it is just for listening and recieving and no it does not receive the lower bands for police and fire it is Shortwave And FM receiver... for listening only..such as for weather conditions and other pple transmitting the short wave radios and for music and such...
