when I got this and the others back in 1998 I got it as being over sterling these were part of my jewelry that i sold as a vendor back then but there are no marks but it is 24k gold overlay

is it pure 24 k gold or plated?

no its neither you cant make anything out of pure 24k gold as its so pure it needs a base alloy to make it strong plated is a thin sheet of gold over an alloy usually 10 or 14k...less than 1/120 of gold .... overlay is 1/120th %of 24k of the item bonded with heat .....Google it what is gold overlay what is 24k gold thank you:))
