Description

The listing, Dell Latitude X300 Laptop w/ Extended Battery Windows XP Pro has ended.

This is a used , working Dell Latitude X300 laptop. It is in fair cosmetic shape and has XP Pro ,Office 07 and games on it. It is a pentium mobile 1.2ghz with 640mb ram . It is small, light weight and very portable. Like netbooks, they do not have disc drives because they don't have the space for them. The screen has some blemishes and it has sticker residue on the lid. I noticed one usb port has a broken piece of plastic but I didn't check to see if that port worked or not. It does not come with a charger but it uses the common large plug type shared with many Dell's. They are $8 delivered to you on another popular bidding site. It has very long battery life with the extended battery. It does not have wifi but you can use a USB adapter or PCMIA card that can be found on listia. I have a USB wifi in another listing in fact. Shipping is free and I ship to the U.S.A. only. Feel free to ask any questions you have. Thanks for looking!

That's true most people don't like linux, But I use nothing but linux because of it's versatility, and it's performance well exceeds microsoft or mac, plus there are limitless amounts of free software as to microsoft charges you a arm & leg for the same kind of software. Thankyou!!

Hi, as the listing shows it does not come with the charger or have a wifi card or adapter in it. It does not come with the original Windows disk or packaging either. Thanks

I have a wired usb wifi adapter in another listing. It would work on this , you would just have to download and install the driver for it. They make smaller ones for laptops though. You may find a smaller one on listia.

We bought it last year. Have too many computers and I don't use this one. My husband buys them all the time lol. Thought it would be perfect to list here.

There would be one problem upgrading to win7 and that is cpu speed, and memmory upgrade, I'm not sure that you could get the memmory up to 2gbs, That's win7 minium requirements. there are other chioces of iso that might be installed on it. Is a good item nevertheless.

Hi, the minimum ram is 1gb for win 7 but they recommend 2gb. That is also assuming the computer is suitable for Win7 in the first place. With just 1gb it would be too sluggish running 7. This laptop would be quicker in XP Pro but you may be able to throw 7 on it. You would really need to google it and see what others found (drivers, how usable it was etc.) when they tried Win 7 on one of these. Linux would be a better option if you didn't want XP but not everyone would be comfortable with linux. Thanks
