This was a Christmas present which I no longer have any use for. It is a dog figurine with a functional clock face underneath the dog's head. The head can swivel from side to side, and its body is made of a metal slinky-like material (it stretches). All visible parts are metal.

The instruction manual is included and gives instructions on how to reset and wind the clock.

Does the clock need any batteries?

It does contain a battery. Presently, the battery is working well: the clock is running, although it is a few minutes ahead of the actual time.

The battery type is listed in the instruction manual as "SR626SW or Equivalent"

Honestly, I do not know what that means, but it also says that it is not necessary to send the clock to the manufacturer for a replacement batter. A local retailer should be able to replace it with an equivalent battery. The manual also stresses that such a replacement should only be made by a professional.

I love how all these people say it's so cute, but don't bid. It's smaller than I thought, but I board dogs and I think it would be a nice feature in my office. I did bid. No lame comment required.

It's like that with a lot of auctions. People stop by, leave a one-word comment, then vanish. Every so often, you get 5 credits for leaving comments. Unfortunately, that makes a lot of people spam unnecessary one-word comments on auctions in the hope of getting extra credits. I try to be courteous to anyone who looks at my auctions, however.
