Here is a Listia auction just for them, and here is how it works...

For every person who tells me what breed of dog they have or something they love about their pet, I will add an item to the box.

I have seen this done before, and thought I'd try one myself for our awesome four legged friends.

I have a lot of great ideas, so don't miss out on this one!!!

Suggestions are welcome too!

We adopted our cute little pup from an organization called "Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary".

already made a comment but it wasnt what you was asking for. about 8 months ago i adopted a little chorkie its been raining alot and when she goes out side to play, potty, ect... she's so little so she gets muddy and as soon as she runs threw the door she runs straight to the shower and sets there until i give her a bath :)

I love both of those breeds as well! My friend has two Danes, they are the sweetest!

My fav breed is chihuahua I have 9 followed closely by chinese crested I have 1 I also have a jrt mix, I really love all dogs.

I adopted a black lab from the local shelter here where I live. He was only 8 weeks when I got him and now 5 months. I am glad that I waited to adopt rather than buy my lab, still looking for a chocolate lab as a brother or sister for him.

OARS just listed a gorgeous 10 month old female black lab, spayed w/shots, etc. She is in Wisconsin by me. We adopted through them because of their amazing volunteers who foster - crate/potty trained, socialized, etc. I can't say enough great things about them. I am sure you will find a perfect companion for your lab too! Thank you for sharing :)

Love this Auction!!! Fanned you and will keep an eye on it, but I'll be at home when it ends :( ... Ok, my story. Our house dog is a Chia-Pom named Jasmine (1/2 Chihuahua & 1/2 Pomeranian). She looks more like a long-haired Chihuahua with a curly tail. Anyways, to make a long story short, my husband and I went to the dentist. She bought her and her brother at a local pet store and she was intended to go to her receptionist's grand-daughter. Just so happens, the little girl was allergic to her. So, we not only got our teeth cleaned that day, we ended up with a new addition to our family :)

Meant to say, I'll be at work when it ends. My second dog is outside and all I know is that he's part Chihuahua too, but he's built more like a Beagle :). He's 11 this year and is suffering from congestive heart failure which is sadly getting worse. He's been on meds since last year, but unfortunately there is no cure, just like in humans. He's always been such a good dog and still thinks he has to keep us safe from the woodland critters, lol

That is so hard. I have had to say goodbye to too many wonderful companions. That is the only draw back to being a dog owner - well that and having to replace chewed shoes in my house :) Seriously though, nothing like a dog's unconditional love and loyalty. I hope you win so you can give him a treat from me !

My daughter found a mini pincher, tried to find owners but no luck so gave to me and it was instant love hor him, his name is Peanut about 1-1/2 years old ..hates a bath,,and loves to eat...lol

I was also thinking collars or leashes, but collars would be only useful to those size dogs....leashes may still work?

I have a 1 yr old American Bulldog named Slugo and a 9 mo old Yorkie named Luigi. Luigi thinks he's a big dog like Slugo and Slugo thinks he's a 85 lb lap dog. :) Love this auction!!!! Fanned you

I rescue dogs and all 4 personal dogs of mine are rescues.Prissy is a snorkie which I had since she was 6 months old found he on a major highway now she is 18years old.Sassy is a American pit bull dog she is turning 5 this year had her since she was 6 months old they used her as a bait puppy.And then their is Tiny Tot a Yorkshire Terrier and Charlie a Part Yorkshire terrier.Charlie was covered in sand fleas dying now the best little male friend I have very protective of me.Tiny Tot will be 3 this month in May the 7th and Charlie will be a year old in June on the 6th.
These are my fur kids that make my days much better everytime I look at them knowing I gave them a second chance to live and now under my care for life.

i have a two year old toy poodle, Sadie, and her 7 month old baby Stimpy. We called him Stimpy because his head was so much smaller than the rest of his body. what i love about them is they are my cuddle bears. i helped her deliver him. she was having difficulty breathing, so while she pushed, i pulled him gently. he was born an hour and a half after she went into labor

LOVE IT! I think it is cute that some dogs we used to consider mutts are now considered hybrids. LOL Seriously though, there are so many cute small dog mixes these days - I want one! I have a medium size terrier mix that I adopted. Amazing dog, especially w/the kids - but a big chewer. Errrr

Oh, I'll have to see if I have any horse stuff left to give you (separatly). I sold my horses about 4 yrs ago. Not sure whats out there, but you never know!

Hi! I have a 14 year old pom/sheltie mix that belonged to my Mother. I inherited Maggie Mae at 4 years old after the death of Mom, and I cherish her! She looks like a little red fox! I also have a Bischon/Poodle mix that I rescued from a local shelter. Vesta is 7 and will be 8 on June 6th. She is my heart and is ferociously protective of me! She thinks she's a Rotty! I've had many dogs during my lifetime, and love and miss all those that are now gone; but they have given me many special memories! Could you add some soft treats? My Maggie has no teeth left and can't chew any hard treats! Also, my Vesta is a chewer, so if you could ad some pig's ears? I heard they are ok on the digestive tract? Thank you for having this wonderful auction! I love anything to do with dogs. I live alone now after being a full-time Mom for 27 years, and they are great company for me!

I have 3 mini dachshunds, Lucifer, Lily & Mandrake. Lily stands/sits on her hind legs and reminds me of a circus dog. She also sleeps with a little bit of her tongue poking out of her mouth. It soooo cute.
