The listing, Moringa Oleifera Tree Seeding ♥ Live Plant ♥ has ended.

☺HI EVERYONE☻

Up For Auction Is (1) Maringa Tree Seedling
♥ Live Plant ♥
I will add pics of actual plants tomorrow. I wanted to go ahead and get it started cuz plants are already several inches tall.
Moringa oleifera is the most widely cultivated species of the genus Moringa, which is the only genus in the Moringaceae family. Common names include: Drumstick Tree, Horseradish Tree, & Benzoil Oil Tree. Zones 9 - 10 but will tolerate other zones. I would say this tree will grow anywhere, As fast as it grows you may not get as much as in hardy zones but enough to keep you happy.

Guess I should follow that up with, if you can grow them indoors, can you still obtain the medicinal benefits from them, or do they become strictly ornamental then?

Yes they still will have medicinal values.

Nice! I wish mine had done that! Can I ask how you planted them? I had someone say to soak overnight first and someone else said not to. I'm brand new to all of this and I'm just kind of winging my way through it! :)

my 1st batch of 10 seeds I soaked like I heard to do and not 1 germinated. 2nd batch of 10 I filled a pot almost full of dirt and just spread out on top took a few handfuls of dirt and covered them, watered them a week later 9 plants. these are also very delicate at first to much water they will drowned.
Feel free to ask anything you want.

I am in SC about 20 minutes from NC and I will be leaving mine outside year round so I sure hope so. I will be doing as a website recommended and cut them back in the winter while they are dormant so that they don't get to big and stay within reach to pic leaves & fruit. so I am expecting it to do great here in SC.

Yes I will be keeping mine small too. But these grow so fast that if you don't control growth you won't be able to reach the leaves. I can't wait!

I live in indiana. will it grow here?

It is zone 9 - 10 but can survive other zones.
You are zones 5 - 6
I think if you put in a large pot and bring in for
winter it will but absolutely won't survive your
winters if left outside.

You can grow these indoors? Really? I will jump for joy if you say yes! I've always wanted to be able to cultivate my own Moringa oil.

Well people who have rough/cold winters keep them in pots to control growth rate so when it gets cold they can bring them in and keep them alive over winter they will most likely still go dormant over winter but root will survive.

Hi from Columbia! Did you have any trouble starting this from seed? I had about 10 seeds and only one grew, and took forever. The rest never came in. The one that did took off quickly though! I planted it outside. I was hoping to have one inside too, just in case! I have seen many videos on it, and several of them showed people growing them inside for medicinal use. I may have to try for this one! Thanks! :)

I had no trouble at all. I planted 10 seeds and a week later I had 9 2 inch tall seedlings. I did lose a 2 in a bad storm last week but the rest are fine.
