Can palm trees take cold weather

Yes to a point but these are slow growers so if you are in a cold climate I would suggest keeping in a big pot and bring in during coldest months. Even if you want to plant it in your yard you can keep in pot & just dig up pot without disturbing roots. You could do this for several years b4 it would get to big to do. Also pruning will make it bush more and would fill out more instead of growing to tall. You have a lot of lead with this plant.

Tennessee is zones 5 - 8 I believe and these are zones 8 - 11 so if you are in 8 absolutely if you are outside of 8 it probably would do ok if you winterized it.

My zone is 7a and my neice has one and she takes it inside during the winter and it is doing fine. She puts it out side during the summer. I would love to have one. I will be watching and hopefully bidding.
