Let me help to clear up the description for those who are not photography buffs.
GOOD cameras (film or digital) come as a body, to which you can add interchangeable lenses. The word "body" does NOT imply that it is hollow, just that it can accept a variety of lenses for different purposes. The seller has noted that he is including a lens, and it is a 1.8, so THAT is a plus. Just be aware that the camera is not digital, so you need to use 35mm film.

omg, I love the young'ins: does it take video? does it come with an SD card? does it come with a power supply or take batteries? I just wanted to ask about the shutter battery, is it clean with no acid leak and is all the light felt inside in good shape (not dry rotted). You can tell by lightly brushing with a finger nail.

I've seen vintage/antique cameras that are hollow, with the guts removed and people will display them( just for looks) like in restaurants... Camera shops etc. so my question while it seemed infantile, was an honest question from someone, who is not a camera buff! I do understand what is meant by " camera body " now though!
