The listing, Well That's An Ugly Rock, Or Is It? has ended.

This is a Dugway Geode, found (thank you) in Dugway Utah about 8 months ago. I cut and polished it back then too. It's about 5 ounces and has beautiful banding with deep craters filled with crystals!!!!

I totally forgot I had a box of Dugway Agates and Geodes in my storage, but making room for things, ran across bunches! I'll have lots more to come including a few Thunder eggs! That is if I can get my hands on an inexpensive diamond saw head...suckers are hard to open!!!!!

I'm gonna leave it to you guys to start the bidding, but don't forget, I work hard to find and finish them...supplies aren't cheap.

Impressed with the cut on your geode. looks like you felt the stone perfectly -- that is a rare talent.. I have a graves diamond cab machine -- I have worked mostly with turquoise, Guatemalan jade and Mexican fire agate - I know the incredible feeling of discovery slicing & peeling a cab.. going to keep a watch on you.

Oh thanks, I need help with my big huge Dugway Geode/Agates!!! They are a real witch to try and cut, let alone slice..l. I have a diamond toothed electric saw,, but still at times I think "why do I have to open them for everyone..??" Then I remember, it's cuz I normally like to!

went to hiddennite gem mine and the people were very rude and not helpful... i like chimney rock for salted buckets 50.00 bucket has a amethyst chunk that fills the bottom of the bucket a geode they cut for u and lots of rock and anything u don't know they tell u ...

i too am a lover of rocks. Sitting reading yalls posts, makes me wish I could go hunt geodes, or thunder eggs or any of the others yall speak of, in whatever desert they are in! Im from Georgia, and have rock hunted and collected creek rocks all my life, but have never had the pleasure of cutting and seeing such beauty inside. As for the poster above who speaks of mining in Goergia, do you know where in Georgia these places might be, your speaking of?

A Thunder Egg is a much larger Geode/Agate Look up Agates) if you're not sure of them too... that is VERY hard to cut open... I have to buy a saw piece that cuts with bits of diamond to get through it! They are gorgeous though I will have to put a picture of one of my cut and polished ones up so all can see, the thing is, they are all different inside, totally cool!!!!! xo

Hey Debby, did you get that message I sent you some time ago about the different places in Georgia and North Carolina where you pay a small entry fee and whatever you find is yours. Most are working mines, so when they bring the dump or spoil piles they just cleared out, you can search through it all. Different mines having amethysts, emeralds and others.It sounds so cool. I want to make a trip to one of them, but it's always the money for gas....and lodging.....and well, you know how it goes. lol

Well come on down. The diamond field is a state park in Murfreesboro, AR and for a small entrance fee you can hunt diamonds to your heart's content. Many find a diamond and there have been some extraordinary finds. But it's work :) lol.

Oh I do not collect eggs but rocks. Arkansas has diamonds and quartz crystals which is the major part Of my small collection. To which I have added amethyst and citron crystal clusters some geodes but no thunder eggs. Where were your thunder eggs found and how many will you auction cut or uncut? Thanks,

In the west Ut desert....IF we find any which I sure hope we do!!!! They are HUGE and I am being told in Dugway some of my Geo friends are finding them...they are super hard to cut and have more of an Agate thing going on...they are not as crystaly and more banded!!!!! Now, let's talk DIAMONDS!!!!!!!! LOL... Love them!!!
