arionway--it is not only succulents, our stores that sell orchids (phalanopsis in particular) have been showing some that are the most beautiful blue you have ever seen. Just like this beautiful plant up for auction.

Trouble is, there is no blue phalanopsis orchid. They apparently take a white one and water it heavily with a blue solution. So the people that buy it are shocked when it blooms the following year with nothing but the beautiful white that it is naturally.

Miss, I don't mean to be rude, but that's painted. I'm not saying you knew, the stores get them like that. I've had a few, they can't really photosynthesize because most of the plant surface is covered.

I wish I could bid on it and I would! Not enough points yet!! But it is not painted!! It is watered with, colored water. It has food coloring in it to give it that wonderful shade. You can turn any succulent any shade that you want.. You just have to continue watering it.. It will take a while because they don't take a lot of water, but in time they will change. From red to purple, blue, green, yellow. Whatever color you decide!! Anyway I just thought I would let you know this!! Fan!! Watching! Please fan me back! :-))

I'm the opposite. Love my backyard, but gonna transform the front to look more like the back this year. Just got my little greenhouse up his year, so next year we should have more funds to actually do something with it. Lol we have a little produce stand out front where we sell our extra veggies n fruit. But this year we didn't yield nearly as much as we did last year... :( The watermelons NEVER even began to flower. My tomatoes weren't nearly as abundant. Anyone know anything about this preen stuff? I tried it this year, and wonder if it hindered the growth/development of my plants. I followed the directions to a tea also...so I don't know. But I'll stop blabbing now..lol :) :)
