Welcome to My "Think Pink" to Find a Cure for Breast Cancer Auction. The Focal Point of this auction is to introduce Lauren Herman, The Author of "Butterflies and Angels, who is also a Survivor of Breast Cancer. "Butterflies and Angels" is Mrs Herman's story of her walk through battling Breast Cancer:

Stated from her book: "Let me talk about my experience as a cancer survivor. Physically and mentally I have been to places you don't ever want to visit. I have stood at the edge and stared into a dark void. Yet I have Dignity Spirit and Courage. Since the year 2002, is when my illnesses started. I have colitis, lupus, and dead lunate bone in my wrist and now have no bones in my right wrist. I had skin cancers, fibromyalgia osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, and renal failure. In 2008, I heard the words I never wanted to hear, you have breast cancer. Life is what you make it. I am making mine a good one, filled with happiness, smiles and love. You are more than welcome to come and join me."

This is a truly fantastic auction. I LOVE IT AND AM HONORED TO BE HERE. I am a cancer survivor who is beginning a fourth battle with this terrible disease. My lymph nodes on my right breast are inflamed and sore. My T cell count has sky rocketed. I am being scheduled for biopsy and possible mastectomy. I am truly scared once again. You would think it would get easier with each time it comes up. But, for me it has gotten harder. It is like the big pink polka dotted elephant in the room that everyone pretends isn't there. They don't want to talk to me about it and they skirt the issue as though to do so will make it not real. I need to talk about it and yet can't without breaking down into tears. This is what I need to do to cleanse my heart, yet can't let go enough to do this. I will be bidding on this great auction and thank you for sharing.

I would absolutely love to win this for my boyfriends mother who is a survivor. She had a double mastectomy because of it. Luckily she is cancer free now!

This is awesome my grandma just beat breast cancer and colon cancer, and my dad had colon cancer and now going through for liver cancer. I support for all cancer as much as I can.

Yes me too. My husband has Stage 4C colon cancer, so I must say to you, knowing you are predisposed please be checked for colon cancer at 30 not 50!! The age decreases by 10 for each genetic disposition you are exposed too and you have the risk by 20% more than most, so it is suggested you go thru colonoscopy at 30 not 50!!

U GO GIRL!! AWESOME!! I have a few more goodies to add to it so watch the updates!! As u can see I definitely paid attention making this for a warrior or survivor and the needs that chemo/radiation brings and/or leaves the need for some of the stuff, like the gloves, cozy socks, scarves, lotions, etc

I've had surgery, chemo AND radiation and still feeling the effects of it all. Am wondering if it ever goes away. But I AM A SURVIVOR! Good luck with your auctions!
