I can't be more specific about the yardage unless I unwrap the whole thing and measured them. I'd say they are about 3 to 3.5 ounces each. I hope that helps.

Um, no. A whole lot, though. These are big skeins. I should add that this yarn is ideal for needlepoint, crewel and embroidery, rather than knitting and crocheting.

Persian yarn is a 3 ply yarn which can be separated and is especially made for needlepoint, crewel and embroidery work. It often comes cut in yard long lengths, although in this case they are whole skeins. I understand your confusion because I inadvertently purchased this yarn on eBay thinking it could be used for knitting or crochet and didn't realize my mistake until I opened the package! Please know, if you ever see "Persian yarn", it's only for needlepoint, crewel or embroidery.
