Description

The listing, OLD CABINET CARD ROTOGRAPH PHOTOGRAPH OF A SOLDIER CIRCA 1856? has ended.

This is an original old photograph on a hard board and it appears to be a soldier. the writing is dutch so im not sure that the soldier is also dutch but its a distinct possibility.
There is a date under the logo of the company which is 1856 i am not sure if that is indeed the date of the photo or the date of the incorporation of the photo studio maybe?
I do know this photo is at least 140 years old as I had a photography friend look at it and he offered to buy it for $20. He ,being quite cheap i took that to mean this had SOME value and decided I would rather post it here and raise some eye brows lol!

Good luck to all who bid!

Your very welcome. I believe it was of the size made to be carried in those silver photo holders that you see in antique shop,to be put into handbags or even satchels or pockets when guys were off to war.
