The listing, Sony Home Theater System 5.1 has ended.

Up for bidding is a great SONY home theater system. The auction includes a receiver (also a dvd, cd player), a subwoofer, five satellite speakers, and all wires. The speakers are small but very powerful. You can hook up your current DVD player or CD/music player to the receiver and enjoy the great sound produced by this speaker system.

"When we first saw Sony's DAV-S300 system at the Consumer Electronics Show, we couldn't believe our eyes. The full-range, wraparound Dolby® Digital sound was like a magnet pulling us into the nearest chair to enjoy the movie. But where were the big speakers? Where was the Dolby Digital receiver? Could this robust sound possibly be coming from the 4" satellites and inconspicuous subwoofer? That's when the guy holding the remote control lowered the volume and filled us in on Sony's astonishing DAV-S300.

The heart of the system is the combination DVD player/receiver. A single slender, silver box plays your DVDs and music CDs, and provides Dolby Digital, DTS, and Pro Logic™ decoding for your DVDs, VHS tapes and stereo TV broadcasts. With 180 watts of power driving the efficient satellites and subwoofer, there's plenty of sound to fill any small- to medium-sized room. Setup and use is easy thanks to color-coded speaker connectors and a multibrand A/V remote control."

I don't list the remote controller with this auction as I can't locate it now. I believe it's still in the house. Will try to find it before the auction ends and ship it as well. If not, and if one day I find it somewhere, I will ship it to the winner with no shipping charge.

You can hook it up to TV, bluray, and any movie/music players as long as these devices have standard AV output. Please refer to the auction photos.

See my answer to fullspeedahead. Everything works great. You can adjust the volume using the knob on the receiver. There are also many controls on the receiver to let you adjust different settings.

yes please answer the question by fullspeedahead and will it work without the remote? i know some of this systems will not work without the controller. i was given one but had to throw it away since it was useless without it.

Hi, does all the components work, like the display lights? And do all the wires make good connections like they don't have to be wiggled around to keep a connection? And are all the speakers 'clear' meaning they do not have the sound of 'cracked' speakers? Just want to know before I bid since the item will be costly to ship, thanks.

Just tested again this morning. It works perfectly. All color-coded wires are easy to plug in. No need to wiggle around. The display panel on the receiver has no problem at all and is still as cool as it can be. Sound is perfect. I wonder why I listed this item. I should have find a room to set it up again. The winner will definitely have so much fun with this home theater system.

I did spend 30 minutes in garage and didn't have luck. Will continue to search it. As mentioned in description, this auction doesn't include remote, but I will send it to winner if I find it one day. I use the remote for DVD playing before, but you have all controls on the receiver. Nowadays many people probably have bluray or other AV units that you will plug in to this receiver. All you need to control here is probably just the volume.
