A few blankets I meant to say and made a tent like with a baby blanket for him to go in the flaps in the folds or made squares from old blanket and sewed them up and its like a poo pad for to be able to wash it when he poops on it. A lot to learn and not to bad then when got that down lol

I live in Pa and both turtles was a little bigger then my hand from palm to middle finger. No I not giving you the finger don't take it like that. pretty nice size can put him in your hand and carry him. He ran into my foot one time when I was sitting at my desk and it scared me lol he just plopped right one their lol. he craws under my chair goes into the kitchen and you hear him thumping across the floor lol. Some times at night when upstairs sounds like some one in the house walking with boots on :O. I could Not trade him for anything in the worlds he the best pet ever had. He shedding his skin make him a little hissy cause it itches but I can not pull it off cause it can rune the shine in his skin same way with snakes and lizards and such never pull the skin off some times I can clip it some but have to be carful

ours was given to us was a rescue turtle from when we had a flood some one I once worked with was getting ride of him and asked me if I would take him since I love animals was collecting money for WWF and well I had to learn real quick how to take care him/her have to put him in the tub of water to feed him. Something very new to me. the funny thing was before I got him but was asked to take him I was helping my mother do paper delivery we was going nice speed and all of a sudden their was a turtle on the road and I never saw a wild turtle before in the wild ok so I reacted yelling TURTLE lol I thank God my mom just reacted in the right way and turned in the right direction to avoid hitting him cause if not he might be dead it all happened so quick and I asked her to go back to get him and I had to get over my fear of picking him up. took him home and ended up taking him back cause at that point I was still unsure how to take care of him. I just think wow how that all happened then I ended up getting the one we got now and I wish I had gotten him sooner so I could have kept the other turtle as well. But they are cold blooded so you got to wrap them in a blanket in my case I just use a few made a tent for him and he goes in their to sleep and then you got to keep them warm they are very different in taking care of turtles from regular house pets but yeah reptiles are very different. ( sorry I like to talk to much)

I just wonder how big of a turtle you are talking about..I have never seen one in the wild..you must live in a southern state
