No scribble, stains or tears. FROM SMOKE & PET FREE HOME. These are all HARDCOVER books not paperback. Great for a birthday or Christmas present.
NOTE: These are not series so not having #10 or #12 does not affect the set. I never found those 2 when I purchased this set. These are less than 8 months old. My son took very good care of them
