The listing, ♡♥♡Prong Collar for Large Dog♡♥♡ has ended.

There are a lot of extras that go with this prong collar. There are extra spacers and I used the plastic covers for the prongs so as not to injury my Golden Retriever.

This is a TRAINING Collar not one that is left on all the time and it is for training your dog when walking with them. It is adjustable so it will fit different sized Dogs.

I have seen many dogs put down because their owner cannot communicate with them effectively. Trainers such as these are meant to help bridge that gap so that the dog can walk happily with their owner. These are also an effective alternative to muzzling for aggressive animals. Trainers can also save lives in the case of hyperactive animals that may pull the leash out of the walker's hand and run into traffic to chase a squirrel or a ball. AGAIN, these are not intended to injure the animal in any way! Thank you for listing these, Memals. So many folks get the wrong idea, but tools like these trully are a lifesaver!

I seen this on FaceBook that those aren't good for a dog. The prongs dig into the dogs neck and causes problems for them.

Not if used correctly and if you are going to quote Facebook at least do your own research. My dogs are like family and I would not hurt them for the world that being said not all dogs train easily and as you can see these have the plastic caps on them so the point of the prong does not dig into the animal.

If you cannot say something nice please do not comment on my auction. I really take offense to what you said.

Sorry , but I agree with walton82 ,they are meant to cause pain when you pull up leash . The caps doesn't help much .I speak up for animal's because they can't .

They are not meant to cause pain and if you really speak for animals then you should do your own research on the product because they are more humane then many other types of collars.

Being ignorant does not help animals. They are much safer then muzzle harnesses and other types of harnesses.

" The American Canine Association or ACA supports the use of a prong ( or pinch ) collar when used in the correct manner, as any type of collar should be.
At the ACA, we realize many people assume the prong collar to be an inhumane training tool, and many people with these views have even gone as far as starting petitions to ban the prong collar from sale or use.
We personally diasgree with their actions.
The prong collar is actully a humane and effective training tool when used correctly. It seems that every dog owner who has gotten to interact with or use these types of collars will agree that they are life saving, humane and effective training collars.
In professional studies, prong collars, when used correctly, have been proven to be more effective and cause *significantly less* pain and damage to dogs than any other collar, as well as many harnesses & 'head haltis'
We see *hundreds* of dogs each week with some sort of injury from harnesses, haltis, & other types of collars, and *rarely* will see a dog with marks from a prong collar.

Evidence also shows that more and more animal shelters are using prong collars to aid in training their larger, more un-ruly dogs, and that ever since shelters started using this training tool, euthanization rates have *significantly declined*

We highly advise anyone whom is skeptical or interested in this collar to research them, find out how they work, why alot of dogs require a prong collar, and so-forth.
We ask everyone to look past the common myths associated with this training tool and do the research themselves online from factual and professional websites and studies, and with prong collars in-person. "

Exactly. That is one of the reasons I put the plastic caps on it and used it. I really find it rude when people just assume because they heard or read about it on Facebook that it is true. You need to do the research to find out these things.

Thanks so much for sharing this.

No problem about the length. I had no ides i was starting a controversy when i listed it. No i just have the one cause it was all i needed for my golden retrievers.

Thanks so much for your input. I also think what you do is great and i am sure the animals do as well. Good luck if you decided to bid.

I like that you used the plastic caps on it to protect your dogs, but it is a fairly controversial item since it has been used for some awful abuse in the past. If it worked for you and others then great, I'm glad to know its not always used for the cruel purposes I have seen so many photos of. Good luck with your auction

I'd like to add that the only reason they are sometimes called "pinch" collars is because you pinch the links together to add or remove them. If used properly, in the correct location on the neck, and as just a short quick correction all it does is mimic the mother dog's bite. It applies pressure evenly all the way around so there is no one place that the prongs poke into. It is merely a tool to get and keep the dog's attention on the task at hand - whether that's walking correctly on a leash or learning other good canine citizen behaviors. I know from experience these are indeed life-saving tools. I have been heavily involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of German Shepherds for over 9 years and have seen the magic transformation that can take place when these are used properly. In fact I intend to bid because our rescue has over 180 dogs and we can always use more prong collars. We place on average 400 dogs a year so I know what I'm talking about. Just ignore the ignorant haters.

I am and thanks for your input and work with dogs. It worked wonders with our Golden Retriever that is like 90 lbs. It took less than a week and then my granddaughter has been walking him since she was five so these are really good and work quickly when used correctly.

Hi I was gonna mind my own bussinezz but, I currently have 2 boxers that I just rescued from a kill shelter and currently have 2 foster pit bulls. With that being said, I have one of my fosters with my behavior modification techs and he has used this tecnique and also on his own which are trained in security and k9 services. I agree with the use of the collar vs oh let's say the shock collar. Some are very head strong and stubborn. Within 1 day my foster went from dog aggressive , no manners to sit lay stay and broke from attacking other dogs. I see that dog every day and ummm no injuries to the dog what so ever. She is happy healthy and now ready to be adopted. I am currently getting my own rescue started and by all means check out my fb page and please feel free to check with any and all rescues about their thoughts. When applied correctly no injuries and we have a success story . I have a 75 lb rescue boxer that refuses to comply and he will be headed to my trainer next week and yes I will be using this type collar, feel free to follow his progress as I post daily and see if he is mistreated or injured. I will be getting myself a personal one for just those occasions . thanks for listing this item and do you have more than one?

Sorry that was so long lol

My question is would you use it on your "unruly" child? I think not! These collars should be outlawed! IMHO!

I've used them in a few huskies and never had them pierce the skin, the person who asked if they would used them on a child, would that person spay and neuter their children as well?
