Description

The listing, BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE QING DYNASTY CHINESE SNUFF BOTTLE WITH ORIGINAL CORK STOPPER!!! has ended.

Hi Everyone This is a antique porcelain Qing dynasty snuff bottle with the original cork stopper. Circa date around 1644 A.D. Snuff bottles were used by the Chinese during the Qing dynasty to contain powered tobacco. Smoking tobacco was illegal during the Dynasty, but the use of snuff was allowed because the Chinese considered snuff to be a remedy for common illnesses such as colds, headaches and stomach disorders. Therefore, snuff was carried in a small bottle like other medicines. The snuff bottle is comparable to the testament of the skill and inventiveness of Chinese craftsmen. Each snuff bottle is handmade and a work of art coveted by collectors and museums around the world. Please fan me I always fan back. Paid shipping with tracking included for the lucky winner of this auction. Please be sure to check out all of my current auctions. You never know what you might find. Thank You for your interest. This snuff bottle stands 3" high. No markings on bottom of snuff bottle. Purchased and shipped to me from a antique store in China to add to my personal collection and now I'm sharing it with my Listia friends. Happy Bidding! Enjoy!

To begin with I spebt over $300.00 to purchase this for my private collection. Next antiques can always be authenicatedd and dateed by the artist sigsanutre. You need to watch Antiques Road show and get educated. Your remarjs were cruel so because of your remark because you could nit be kind nor can you seem to remember I am not getting paid in cash anything because there is no mtonetary exchange on Listia you are permantedly blocked frim my auctions. I never purchase anything but expebsive pieces and I would never go to another auction and make cruel statements.

Pamela, so sorry to hear of your heart attack and surgery! Hopefully everything is going well now? Quick question: How were you able to get this authenticated Qing dynasty?

Please do research on Wikipedia it will tell you these snuff bottles were only made by skilled craftsmen by hand during the Qing dynasty as well you can watch videos on Youtube.com. This one is is extremely rare since it is hand signed by the Chinese artist. These normally can only be seen in musuems. And the best part is that this is free since there is no monetary exchange on Listia , if you tried to purchase it at a museum it would not be free and I also pay for all shipping costs and tracking and never asked any buyers for a penny. I am interested only in making new friends and being extremely kind and generous. Thank you for your interest. You might also contact musuems to purchase snuff bottles from them.

Hi Pamela, Lovely Snuff bottle!! Hard to believe so many rudely looking a gift horse in the mouth! I adore the 9Peach?) color of the piece, and the clear signature on the reverse is a very rare bonus!! I had hoped that I might prevail upon you for a better picture of the decoration on the FRONT of the bottle, I just can't quite make it out! Thanks VERY MUCH for you fabulous listing, and I'll certainly Fan you and add it to my watch list, though I'll never have enough credits before auctions end! I'll be watching for more!! May you find Peace and healing within your heart, and may harmony and abundance manifest gently in your life!
Namaste!
Blessed be,
Victor

Pam, this is one of the best looking snuff bottles I've seen. I've collected them over 30 years. Many different kinds. The paint, even in these pictures is exquisite. How did you find the artist's name? You asked what I collect? You hit it, without me telling you yet. What a girl. I will be hot on this piece! Thanks so much for sharing.
And, thank you for all the information above :]

Hi Debbie I was just thinking about you and here you are must be ESP Lol. Happy you like the snuff bottle. This is the first one I've ever had or seen that is signed on the back. Look at the third picture shows the Chinese artist name. this authenticates and dates this snuff bottle. I love to shop worldwide and share the treasures I find with my Listia friends. Good Luck bidding too!!
