well its brand new still in the box, so YES it works. and it has 3 fans so it keeps mine plenty cool but i have a one of the new cromebooks so it is a smaller laptop not a big one,. i don't think it would be very good for a big full size laptop cause it might be a little to heavy for it. so i would say it is for a smaller one.

i don't know it might work. but than again your lap top might be to heavy for this cooling fan. so that will be up to you if you wont to try it and see if it will work or not. :+)
