The listing, Vintage Russian Art Picture Beautiful Landscape with Trees *** Stone Ground With Sand on Granite has ended.

This picture is one of the most interesting and different works of art I have ever seen. I was going to list it in art, but it's very old so "Antiques" it is.

I have a passion for trees so I loved it before I really took a good look. From what I understand, in Russia, they grind stone and mix it with sand and that's what makes the rough 3-demensional appearance. For a little piece, it has solid weight to it.

It measures 4-1/2" top to bottom, and 3-1/2" side to side. I was told the frame is made of iron. It appears to have a bit of gold leafing up the trunk of the tree. Whatever is ground with the sand has some sparkle to it. The sky is the natural granite color......very different.

It was explained to be that these are usually painted on granite. That was the word used several times. Now, to me, it looks like a tile or something shiny. I just checked the similar art in ebay and they called it polished granite.

Thank you so much! It only allows you to fan up to a certain ratio of fans you have. I can't explain it very well as I don't really understand it myself...lol.. I think its to prevent people from just going around fanning everyone, but I don't know the ratio of allowed fanned: fans you have so I find it confusing..anyway, it let me fan you and thank you very much for fanning back! :D LOVE your auction!!!
