I dont leave feedback first. I let the buyer. Now if Im a buyer I will wait at least 2 weeks then send a message, no response and I file a claim. Thats more than enough time unless someones been in the hospital or something

Agreed for the most part. I had a seller who wanted me to walk them through what to do by text after I'd won their auction. Uh, no, not for a 2,000 credit item. Listia has great tutorials and lots of information--I don't need to spend my time like that.

I don't usually leave feedback until after the buyer says they received it. For a while it seems like you couldn't do it any other way. Still, some people will overreact. I usually say something like "I'm sorry if you felt I was demanding feedback. I was just trying to stay on top of my auctions. I appreciate feedback whenever you're able to get to it." But I'm notoriously nice, so take that with a grain of salt. Lol.

It appears that sellers are able to leave feedback as soon as the package is shipped, but in all honesty, I don't see why you would. "great transaction, lovely person, etc., etc." and then they complain they never received the item or it was in poor shape or whatever when you know it's a lie. You can't undo that positive feedback for someone who ends up being a jerk. It's a loaded system because the buyer controls release of credits and the effect on the seller's reputation but the seller has less power really.

Okay well I will tell you about one more then that you're not gonna be able to resist...the Wal-Mart beauty box...yep, Wal-Mart, lol. Every 3 months they send one out and only charge $5 for shipping and it has full size products to get you through the season. The last box they sent was worth $40! :)

Wow! That definitely sounds like a winner. I assume all the products are things they carry? I sometimes donate personal care items to a local women's shelter so when I receive products I won't use, nothing goes to waste, so it's all good. I'll check it out.

Ahh I LOVE Birchbox also! I subscribe to it and to Ipsy which is kinda the same concept except they send a cosmetic bag each month as well. I love getting stuff in the mail. :) I've looked at some of the other ones but can't justify the price.

Thank you for the advice! I'm not really into it that big either so I do a ton of research before i purchase. Benefit has also had my attention so I will definitely look for those auctions. :) The way they design and name their products is my personality all the way. :) Lash Domination is my fav also. I got it in the bare minerals welcome kit. I got sucked into an infomercial with them but I'm glad I did.

If you check out The Balm Cosmetics, they're similar in the "fun and kitsch" factor of Benefit. I think Ulta only carries some of their hair products--not sure that I've seen their makeup there. Kohl's, Nordstrom's, Sear's, and a few others carry it. Also, I'm a big fan of my Birchbox subscription. Some people get into all these different subscription boxes and spend a fortune, but I really have liked Birchbox, and it's only $10 a month. You get a good number of different brand items based on your profile--sometimes full size, some deluxe samples, and some travel size. It's kind of a fun little pleasure to discover what's in the box each month.

I use the Bare Minerals Lash Domination mascara and like it quite well. I don't use mascara every day because I do have dark eyelashes and am often in a hurry in the morning. I only started wearing makeup again this summer after a 13 year hiatus, so I'm kind of feeling my way. My favorite makeup brand is actually Laura Geller. I love the powder foundation and use the lightly tinted Spackle under it. Not as well known as Bare Minerals, but definitely worth a look-see. I also love Stila, especially the beautiful eye and cheek palettes, and The Balm products are amazing; and the lovely Crystallynn5353 has been a terrific source of many for me. Finally, Benefit really has my attention too--I'm going to be listing two adorable Christmas sets this weekend--I just love the way they don't take themselves too seriously. I'm not sure that really helps, but those are my makeup thoughts for now. :)

Been there, done that. I've lost many an auction for not GINning right away. Fortunately, there always seems to be another. I'll keep an eye out for scarves and for the gloves too. They've upgraded in the last couple years to the tech-friendly gloves, which aren't really as good as a finger but sure come in handy when trying to answer the smart phone while wearing gloves.

I actually set the GIN kind of low based on the value so you could grab it, but I guess someone beat you to the punch. Sorry--I'll keep an eye out for more. I'm kind of bummed I didn't GIN your UGG boots because now I have to wait until the end of the auction and was thinking they were worth the GIN you put on them. I went back after bidding to GIN them and realized because your starting bid was more than half your GIN, it automatically dropped GIN off the listing once I bid. :(
