The listing, 1 Of A Kind Vintage Handmade Wishbone Bottle 1953/69? has ended.
I found this at am estate sale about a month ago. That whole time I have been trying to figure out if Wishbone actually made these. I have come to the conclusion that this was handmade and is 1 of a kind. Whoever made this did a really good job. It is golden color with beautiful religious picture. There is no cap to this bottle but wishbone dressing is still sold today. So I am pretty sure a cap shouldn't be too hard to come by. Age has darkened the golden color in some spots, but mostly on the back. Honestly I think the coloring adds to the beauty of the bottle. Just like patina does on copper. I think it would make a nice bud vase as well. The bottom of bottle says wishbone *15 AHK 69. After researching a bit AHK i believe stands for Alexander H Kerr who invented the screw off bottle cap for this bottle. I think 69 might mean the bottle was made in 1969. Also DES PAT 169344. Which is a design patent number and that patent number was issued in 1953.
