Description

The listing, Specimen Coin Set; Canada; 1986; Uncirculated + BONUS has ended.

Thank you for browsing.

This is, quite possibly, my best treasure discovery to date – and when you factor in the bonus... Though this auction will be of particular interest to coin collectors; it is also for anyone who has, or knows someone who has, a birthday in 1986 and would greatly appreciate this interesting memento from their birth year.

The winner of this auction will receive one (1) brand new (comes with original mint packaging) Canadian 1986 Specimen Coin Set featuring uncirculated circulation coinage. Included are the 1 dollar; 50 cent; 25 cent; 10 cent; 5 cent; and 1 cent coins in uncirculated condition. The technical specifications for these coins is available on the reverse side of the Certificate of Authenticity (6th pic). "Your specimen set contains the first and best coins struck from a pair of dies." (CoA)

BONUS - As an added bonus - because there’s nothing better than twice as much (of anything) - the winner of this auction will also receive one (1) Canadian 1986 issue two dollar banknote in uncirculated condition.  And, as a extra added bonus, the banknote will come, as shown in the photos, in a semi-rigid bill holder.

PLEASE NOTE - The winner will receive the exact specimen set and banknote shown in the photographs. This set will be shipped in it's original Royal Canadian Mint packaging. Coin easels NOT included.

With my apologies to those outside of Canada and the United States, due to postal costs, no international shipping for this auction,

Questions and comments are always welcome. Thank you for your interest and supporting Listia.  If you like what you see, please feel free to view my full auction listing for other interesting treasures looking for a forever loving home.  If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please feel free to send me a Listia email - you just never know. :-)

Thank you for browsing and your kind words. :-) Once the auction end date is set, it can't be change and I chose the longest time to give the most people a chance to see and, if interested, have a chance to bid. Thanks, again, and good luck.

Any chance you can put a regular 1980's 2 dollar bill BY itself in an auction? I used too have tons of them...

I've sent you a PM on this question but, for anyone who might be interested, I'm hoping to have more of these available around mid-November...at which time I will be able to list the 1986 $2.00 banknote on its own.

Interesting fact i learned if you bid lets say 100 and its the exact same as someone else's top bid it will not say the top bid is 150 because the top bids 100 so then you can tell if that is their highest bid (example being that current highest bidders limit was 11,000 credits) Sorry if this makes the auctioneer annoyed i would post this here i just thought it was a fun thing to learn while bidding

Oh my I forgot to add the last bit to my comment sorry ^^; The reason behind why i thought this was important to note is because this can also make so you don't over bid and then be left with 5000 credits levy because you were not sure how much they bid so if you just wanted to be first but not with a demanding over bid making those credits be locked to that item until your out bid or till it ends.
