The ring is a little difficult to see, I read the comment on it not being a pot leaf, if you look the etching on the ring appears to be a pot leaf, what throws it off is the turquoise doesn't fill in the whole leaf, can you see if you look at it again? Is that how the ring is...as I described?

That is called inlaid turquoise where they probably took tiny bits and put them together much like a mosaic. That is what I was told in the 70's.

it is a pot leaf back in the 70's they used 5 leaves now a days they use anywhere from 7- 9 leaves I help in my cousins shop his " tobacco products have 9 leaves I believe its to cover his behind, an actual pot leaf has 7 leaves but in the 70's they were always drawn with 5 I know I grew up in the 70's & drew many a leaf lol I don't care if it is or isn't I love turquoise & this set is absolutely beautiful : )

The ring should be stamped 925 if it is sterling. I know you said the earrings are, but the ring should be, as well.
