The listing, Antique Bible 1870 144 Years Old Perfect Gift for Christmas! has ended.

This Bible is hundred and 44 years old! It is in good condition for it's age. The only writing is the writing on the front facing page, but there is no other writing. This is from my personal collection of Bibles, but I thought that I would share it with my listia friends. There are a few pages that the edges are folded down, and some wearing on the edges. The binding is in pretty good shape, but again is real good for 144 years old.

That would be amazing! I always wonder what kind of things it would tell of. Things have certainly changed in the 144 years that this book has been around.

F&W I have 2 bigger Bibles, Church size, from 1800s... one has 2 large clasps on it still.. our God is Eternal!!!

Love this!!!! I am already a fan, but watching. Is this a KJV or Douvey or ???? Maybe I missed that information. I'm surprised it doesn't have a list of marriages or births in it being that old!

It is King James version, I believe. This was probably a Bible that somebody took to and from church. These smaller Bibles very seldom had birth and marriage records as there really wasn't much room to write. I have some larger Bibles that have complete birth and death records.

Where are the pictures and certification for this "144" year old bible i need certification to be able to see if its real or not, you could have just taken a book, took tea bags and rubbed the everywhere all over the pages to make it seem old, and I know you have a %100 customer feedback, but that's just based on if you have the buyer the object or not, not whether it's real

the second picture shows the title page, which has the date and the title of the book. There are 12 photographs. And no, I didn't take it teabag and rubbed the book, those are actual pictures of the actual Bible. I am sorry that you need to be skeptical, this is a real auction, this is a real Bible. I really don't know what else to tell you. If you don't believe me, and this auction, just move on and throw your seeds of doubt somewhere else.

Had to check this out; heard about it from one of my GOOD, honest, loveable (is that enought adjectives?) book bidding ladies, who was upset about the comments made by one person. I checked his listing out (did you?) and found some interesting comments about him....and he is a new one with two fans. I decided I did not need any contact with him and promptly blocked him. I have too many nice, understanding (loveable?) bidders without coming into contact with one like him. Thanks for posting an interesting book, and hope you are enjoying the nice comments you are getting because of it. Sharing our books is another part of a good life. Wishing you a long, well one from a cancer surviving Christian. Naturally I fanned you!!!!

I have been saving up my credits to bid on this. I would love to win it and give it to my Pastor for Christmas. His 29th anniversary as pastor was recently, and it was our church's 92nd anniversary. This would just be something he would cherish. He had a favorite Bible that was signed years ago by a preacher he admired, and somebody picked it up and walked out of the church with it a while back. He had a million notes in it. He was crushed. So, I am thinking this would be just awesome for this wonderful teaching man of God that I admire so much. He is like a father and also a friend to me. Even the young people say he is "cool". (That is a huge compliment coming from the youth! LOL) He lives by the Bible. He teaches in a way everybody can understand. And he has a great sense of humor, which he incorporates into his teaching. He truly is an awesome guy! I've been listing auction after auction just to accumulate credits for THIS auction.

Even though it does not say this looks like the King James version. The books in this old Bible are the same books as the King James version now.
