1917 TYPE 1 Standing Liberty Quarter
I would say this coin is in Fine Condition. The date is weak, but the raised date of this early design makes that very common. Please check out the pics and let me know if you have any questions.
Standing Liberty Quarters where minted from 1916 - 1930. The 1916 is super rare, with only 52000 coins minted. The 1917 Type 1 shares 2 key features with the 1916 quarter. First, there are no stars under the eagle on the reverse. All 13 stars are split between the left and the right. The second, and more popular feature, is that Lady Liberty's revealing wardrobe made this the only US coin design with nudity. This controversial detail was changed that year, and a chain mail vest was added to the design. With a low total mintage of 12,253,200, the 1917 Type 1 is a highly sought after coin.
