Yiannis Chryssomallis, known professionally as Yanni, is a Greek pianist, keyboardist, composer, and music producer who has spent his adult life in the United States.

Did you know that...

He has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

In 1969, at age 14, he broke the Greek National record for the men's 50-meter swimming freestyle.

Wrote an Autobiography, "Yanni In Words."

Self-taught with perfect pitch, he cannot read music.

Favorite hobbies include swimming, cooking and piano.

His name means "John with golden hair" in Greek.
