So.... since the popularity was so great for my thanksgiving auction ... My children and I have decided to do a christmas one too. Here it is for you families out there that have fallen on hard times and just don't know how your ends will meet up for this holiday season .... here's dinner from my family to yours.

it began with an idea for thanksgiving my kids wanted to feed the less fortunate dinner. Now they have given up their allowance money to feed another family for Christmas too... I have 5 children ... 4 of them (ages 17, 11, 9 & 4) put money in to put towards a $50 gift card. If your family is ok this holiday season, but you know someone else down on their luck this season this is the listing for them. Please those that are able bodied and have jobs.... give to someone you know that is less fortunate.

3 years ago when I joined listia. I was in the fight for my life. My blood was toxic to the rest of me and my organs were shutting down one at a time. There were quite a few angels on here that sent me things for my kids because I was unable to do for then. Thanksgiving & Christmas was courtesy of my listia angel family members. Now that I'm on my way to being cured, I thought my family and i would pay it forward. This is from our heart to yours.

Gift cards are limited to store options available online and in store. I'm located in California. If I'm unable to obtain a gift card of any smaller store nearest you, If you have a Wal-Mart super-center or grocery store ... it will be that one.

This is my second auction like this .... I am blessed everyday and I want to send out my happiness and spread it all over the world. I am a stranger to many of you out there in cyberspace, but my heart is in the right place. May God keep you and bless you all the days of your life. ~Amen!

This site has made me smile and feel good about how so many people are truly blessed with the spirit of The Lord. I have seen many truly heartfelt gifts of love that this old world needs more of. We see or hear of many wonderful blessings that has happened to others that let us remember that He will always be here for us if we just ask. I know that He has blessed my life and I pray that He blesses many others. So many have fallen on hard times and this "Gift of Love" that you are sharing is a shining example of the love in you and your children's heart. It will not go unnoticed, He has a keen watch over all of us. Thank you so much for allowing this beautiful heartfelt gesture to be seen by others to let us all remember that there are many who are in need. Thank you so much for the kind words. My children and I are blessed at this second chance of being a whole family. My spouse of 8 yrs finally proposed. Were getting married in December of this year. I know without my love of god, none of this would have ever happened. All glory to god my Lord and Savior.

Can't agree more with you sweetie! I was out of work last year when I found this site and just getting rid of stuff I don't use anymore did just this. I was able to survive on the gift cards I won to get groceries, gas etc. I did well enough that I was able to keep up on grandkids growth spurts, get Christmas presents and even got a few movie nights with my disabled hubby! Its a humbling experience to go through something life altering and watch "friends" closets to you dwindle away. While perfect strangers come closer to pull you up. Thank you. My kids love of god and his blessings amazes me daily. I dont have to force them to attend church. My baby girl she's too young to speak but when she hears gods word being spoken .... she shouts "8-men" lol. Shes 15 months old. Its so adorable. I can relate to your story. Lost my mom , dad, grandma., stepdad to cancer and I've had it too in 2006 but the Lord healed me!

When I was younger I didnt understand what it meant to know god. To havefaith in god. To believe in him. And honestly my faith was restored many times over with each and every obstacle .... he helped me through them all. I could not have cheated death 3 times in my life without him. Its an awful feeling when the team if dr's who's treating your loved ones come to you and say "I'm sorry we've done all we can." Your looking at them like what you just gonna let them die. My mom was told that once by dr's when I was weeks old. And then again at 18 yrs old after I had a terrible car accident. Then in 2010 I trumped death ... opted for a hysterectomy to keep the pre-cancer tumors from multiplying and spreading. Lastly 2012 ... im not completely through but im over the hump. God is gracious. God is forgiving. God is loyal. I thank him everyday. Im sorry to ramble. But I get exceited to spread my experience with him in my life. My kids lives. My family lives. All glory and all praise for him. Everyone will be delivered from their affliction. Their pain. The prison of mind, thru lack of faith. Hrs always listening. ~ peace and blessings ~

Thank you. Were 8 of many people that do no harm and send blessings out for those less fortunate. I just cooked a meal for a family who had no food in the house period.

It cost me nothing but an hour out of my day, to give them the blessing of food in their bellies. I cant stand to see people starve when there is so many that can help out. So tomorrow morning I will go to my local shelter to see what they can do for them.

I know for this I will be rewarded with many blessings to come. But I dont give back to expect anything in return. I do it because it warms my soul. God bless to each and every one of you. Peace and joy for the days ahead.

I have given this auction and her thanksgiving one,lots of thought, what person down on their luck has 200,000 credits, if a person wins that really does not need it. is that person supposed to give it to a person who really needs it. needie think if you were really thinking about the poor. you would have started the bidding at 100,000 that would give you back the 50 dollars you spend, and an extra 50.00. if some one gins ,you will get 180,000 credits or 130,000 after you deduct the 50 dollars you spend, i hope i haven;t missed something in all these comments that your giving your profit to charity

I will respond to this allegation in a Christian way. As I know the devil is always hard at work.

The Gin was set on this one because I had an offer to end it early at that amount. But as far as me trying to profit off this listing or my thanksgiving one that is a bold face miscarriage of justice being stated. My thanksgiving one didn't have a GIN amount and it started at a mere 100 credits. And your suggestion of starting the bidding at 100,000 shows how little you truly understand this site. But you know what I will pray for you, I wont hide the comment so others can pray for you too.

Instead of irreligion try spreading some holiday cheer. Spread the stories of what changes god has made in your life. Spread hope and love, faith and peace. Not ill will or blasphemy. I am a mere servant of my lord and savior Jesus Christ. I will shout it from the mountain and let no man or demon shake me from my perch. Wow...My kids and I have fallen on hard times ourselves and I've been disabled for 12 years so I can definitely relate. I only found this site about a year ago and what a blessing it's been. The people on here are for the most part the kindest group of folks I've met in a long time. I truly hope you and your children have a beautiful and blessed holiday season. You can donate as little as 100 credits if that's all you have or want to donate. I'm not sure if the charities get a set amount of money based on the number of credits, or if they have to buy something like an Amazon card at the Rewards Store, but anyway...

On the Feeding America website, they say that just $1 can help them feed 20 people!! So if for example they have to buy an Amazon card, and a $1 gift card is around 2000-3000 credits on Listia these days, then 100 credits is all you need to help feel one person, and it only takes 1000 credits to help feed 10 people! (if my math is correct) :)

This auction truly touches my heart. I have been looking thru the gift cards to try and find one in my credits range that I could bid on and I came across this in my "suggestions". I read your description & I just wanted to say, what you and your family are doing, is truly an act of Love & of God.

People tend to forget this is the season of giving, not just receiving. I think it's wonderful how you've kept the less fortunate in your family's thoughts, even after you have started to recuperate and could've easily forgotten what it's like to fall on hard times.

Im from Trenton, New Jersey. This whole city is a hard time. I am blessed with a full time job, and I still struggle month to month, day to day. I have a 2 year old son and in order to give him a "normal" Christmas this year, Ive been left with about 50-60$ to my name each pay, to last me for 2 weeks. Luckily, his stepfather, my soon-to-be husband, helps us as much as he can. And for the most part, we always get by.... Me telling you this story is not for empathy or even pity. I am just sharing because I know what it's like struggling day in and day out to make it for you and your children.

Again, I cant bid but I believe this is one of the nicest gestures I have come across this holiday season. I hope whoever is lucky enough to win, appreciates it. & I believe in my heart, God will keep blessing you and your family for doing such kind things in his favor....Merry Christmas to you and your family. Awe thank you so much. I appreciate you sharing your lifes struggles. Remember what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Your testament of devotion and prayer states the anointing that runs thru your veins too. I pray daily, sometimes upto 10 times per day if not more. With all this sadness and despair in the world it has come more apparent that people need to turn to god more often. A day given is a day earned, not promised life at all. Its through gods grace that each and every person wakes up this day to see another one.

You are an angel. You should give us the name and link of the shady seller so that people can block her. I really hate it when one seller tries to ruin it for the rest of us who work hard for our credits. I listened to the song and it's amazing. Thanks for sharing. I know most people on here are fantastic but there are a few who need to be blocked. They are just out for themselves and what they can get. FYI, for anyone who doesn't win the auction and/or doesn't have enough credits to bid, there's still a way you can help those in need for the Holidays. I only just found out about it recently, and it was a little hard to find the donation page, so I thought I'd share the info here...

Listia has a Charities section where you can donate Listia credits to the charity of your choice. To find the Charities page, just do an internet search (not a Listia search) for Listia Charities, and the result (with a direct link) should be at/near the top of the search list.

My personal preference for donating this year is "Feeding America". But there are plenty of charities to choose from. For every 100 credits you donate, you also get a "Star" added to your profile showing you've made a donation. Not to say it's all about getting stars for your profile, but it's a nice little "thank you" from Listia and the charity. Plus it's another way of letting people know there's an option to donate their credits!

I just donated 1000 credits to Feeding America. (So as you can see, it doesn't need to be a huge donation... just whatever you can/want to give).

You shared briefly with me and others that are following this listing about the passing of your dad. And just in those brief words I feel his blessing flow through me too. Despite his not being here in body he is all around you in spirit. Look onto those memories you have of your dad. Those special moments that just you and him shared. Your job now is to share with the world, completely perfect strangers of how your dad touched your life and others around him. That is his legacy that he leaves you with. There is a saying my elder Aunt Bea said to us when we were kids, she has passed on now, but she would say .... "our family dear child, once here, now gone. Your heart is a vast & wide ocean of memories. Share the air, bring some peace. Your love is your wealth. Your words are the blessing. Haste not the gifts you've been given." For years I knew not of this peace she spoke of. After her death I was broken for a spell and I remembered this quote she'd tell me when I was distraught and torn apart. Finally I understood. She left me with the greatest gift, priceless in riches. The gift is the blessing of knowing god's angel, his promise to show me real love, devotion and keeping. I just didn't know that it was only temporary. I cursed god for taking her away. but she knew her time was coming and she tried to prepare me for the day I would no longer see her face. Hear her voice. Or place a kiss upon her soft skin. I know she watches down upon me as do my baby Savannah she died at birth 17 years ago. God's grace and love keeps me sane. Keeps me whole. keeps me strong. And you my dear can stand tall. Hold your head high and say I am blessed. I am treasured. I am loved. I love you daddy and thanks for showing me the best of any dad.
