Thank you, if I just received an honest answer back, even if a mod says "we have no idea why some sellers get theirs right away and some don't" then okay, at least they are being honest, but when I get blatantly made up responses, it does not sit well with me.

I sell on 2 other platforms & do not have this issue, Listia undermines some excellent sellers by pulling this.

Lol, I rarely get this riled up, but this topic I will not be silent about unless & until I get a proper answer from the powers that be.

I know I don't have nearly the amount of feedback you have, but I can definitely relate to your frustration with the "pending" credits system. When I built up about 40 positive feedbacks, my credits were transferring instantly, usually under 20k. Then, I started selling things for 40-50k and my credits stopped transferring. I thought it was just because of the higher amount. Nope! A couple days later an auction ended at 9,999 credits and they were pending?! Now it's been like that ever since. Even 9k auction credits won't transfer. I send "thank you" notes with every package, reminding buyers to please click "got it". Some do, some don't. I only have a small amount of credits available and 60k pending. It makes no sense and it makes me so mad too.

For the most part, I have been exceedingly lucky in that my winners almost always let Listia know that I have not, in fact, ran off with all the credits & not sent their item.....(sarcasm intentional).

I feel bad for those who have to have their credits pend for the full 20 days, unless there are circumstances preventing it, I find it beyond inconsiderate for a winner to not let Listia know they got their item in a timely manner.

But...what goes around comes around, the ethical, nice ones will rise to the top. (I save all the 'thank you's' I get with my package & hang them up over my desk :)

And yep, it makes zero sense. There is not a consistent, fair algorithm in place with the credit issue. Listia rakes it in, not only with some buying credits, taking 10% on GIN's etc, but they have Google Adsense, a remarketing program, & a PPC program, they are raking it in, they can afford to rehaul this "system" and make it right.

The more this is 'talked' about, the better the chances of having this change.

That is an answer I have been trying to get - I have put in 5 support tickets, commented on their FB page,,,I get 5 different reasons why this is the case and I am beyond tired of it..85% of my listings pend. Ridiculous!

I do not mind waiting for credits, that is not my issue, my issue is Listia's "system" is unfair & arbitrary.

I completely agree with you. Completely unfair....it feels like they do not stand behind good sellers and it is very disappointing:/ with your amount of feedback it is downright ridiculous though. I really hope they reconsider this.

I asked a year ago when I put in my 1st support ticket & the answer I got back? When I become a 'trusted seller' I will get them right away. Um, okay over 1100 seller auctions with 100% positive, I ship same or next day, what does it take around here to be a 'trusted seller"?!

Ended up putting in 4 more tickets over the past year & heard it depends on your average auction amt if you get them (this has been proven to be untrue), then told it is done randomly & the computer decides. There is another different answer I received that I forget but 85% of my pend, including the last 20 auctions.

I believe no one at Listia knows why some seller's get their immediately & some 'trusted' sellers rarely do.

Ugh that is so frustrating and upsetting!!!!!! I had the same issue too. The only neutral feedback I have is a buyer feedback from a seller that not only ripped me off and didn't send the item but ripped off another person for the same item. We had to not only file disputes on here but also with Paypal. We won both disputes and YET they allowed this person to leave neutral feedbacks. I submitted a ticket about how unfair it is to allow a dishonest seller who ripped off 2 people to tarnish my feedback. They gave me some generic response per usual. I know neutral is not a negative but still, I feel like it is unfair to allow a scammer to ruin someone's 100% feedback:/ I REALLY hope they will come to their senses and fix this for you. Like I said before and I may be wrong but I just feel like they do not stand behind good sellers and its a big reason I took such a long break from here. It just gets aggravating at times. What's the point of having a "customer support" if you don't actually help to fix anyone's issues, especially when they're in the right?

True, lol, my (2) neutrals were as a buyer when I never got the item - how a seller who does not send anything is allowed to leave the buyer neutral is beyond me.

And I am not going to shut up about the pending credit thing, I do not mind waiting for them, but it needs to be a fair system & this is far from fair.

Wow, what a nice compliment, excuse me while I copy/paste this and save it so I can brag on myself to my family at Christmas ;)

I do the same, if I win & I either have had experience with the seller and/or I can clearly see they are a trusted seller, I always release them. If this system of awarding/pending credits applied equally to all trusted Listians, I would cease sounding like a broken record.

I have had the last 40 listings pend. Every one of them & I have a major issue with this. One year ago I was told once I become a "trusted seller". Okay, Hello, Lisita! 1300 seller auctions at 100% positive, not even a neutral. I waited a year, why are you STILL pending 90% of my listings? Feel free to inbox me and attempt to explain this unfair & arbitrary system that is in place. Thanks!

Thank you, still waiting so I can GIN one or two of yours if still available. It's the unfair & arbitrary way Listia rewards or pends...it needs to be the same across the board based on time on site, how many seller auctions done, ship time & feedback. That is what Amazon & Ebay do!

And I love Listia for the people, I have made so many friends here & that is worth it's weight in gold. I only want Listia to stand up & explain *why*, even if they have no clue why a seller at my level has to wait 85% of the time, then tell me you don't know!

And hey what's up with Listia holding credits on some auctions then releasing them immediately on others? I've noticed they release my credits on my smaller auctions but on the big ones they keep my credits pending. Does it have to be under a certain amount for them to automatically release them??

Surely your questions are rhetorical in nature, right?! (My version of a rhetorical question).
There is no rhyme or reason....I had a 7500 pend the other day, all of my last 40 auction have pended yet when I win/gin, the seller receives theirs 90% of the time.....I am starting to think the powers that be do not like me :(

One answer I received back was that it is based on your average sold credit amt, if a listing ends under that, you get them right away, if over, they pend. 100% Untrue. So untrue. (Although points to the mod for 'originality').

Of course there is the standard, form answer "as soon as you are a trusted seller,,,blah, blah, blah".

The random generator answer. Akin to a slot machine, if you get all pineapple's lining up, Bam! You get them right away. I guess I better stay far away from my local casino's.

Another answer I got back,,,,it depends how many auctions you have listed & how many credits you have in your 'bank',,,,if you have a lot of higher value auctions listed & not much in the bank, they will pend & vice versa. Guess what? Untrue! I had like (5) listings up & 200K in the bank....still pended.

I just looked at the tickets I put in, so many different answers that I truly believe no one at Listia knows why.

However, if a Mod would like to comment and perhaps clarify, it would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas!

I agree. I feel this is the best online selling platform out there, the friendships made are worth more than a million billion credits,,,,,but we are due an honest answer about this.

If it were fair across the board, (like it is over on the Bay, for example), then I will wait the full 20 days if I have to, but it is not fair. It is completely arbitrary. There are no metrics in place that we can strive to meet in order to get them right away (again, like it is on the Bay as well as other platforms).

I have a feeling this is how it will be - I will have 20,000 seller auctions under my belt & they will still pend 90% of the time. However, unless & until this is addressed in a satisfactory way, or this "system" is changed, I will continue to beat the poor horsey.

I joined 6/7/13 and I know sellers that joined after me with less feedback who have all their credits transferred immediately. I can tell ya, if I'm even at half of Nawn's feedback and they are still pending I'm going to be extremely upset:(

Yep...happens all the time, I joined Dec, 2012...never did anything til end of July, 2013. I see it all the time, newer sellers, seller w/less auctions completed, sellers with less than 100% positive,,,,they get theirs right away, so why is there not a *fair* system in place. It isn't just about me,,,,as these comments show, we are frustrated because there is seemingly no rhyme or reason,,,the sup's answer has been disproven many times, my 1st ticket answer that once I become 'trusted' has been disproven....I am frustrated because like you, like many, many others on here, we put a lot of time/energy into our listings, we provide a great experience, we care.....and our efforts are undermined by the very platform we love being on!

It is unfair. I started getting instant credits after 30 sales at 100%. The only times they pend are if they're over 100k.

I find it weird you don't get yours right away... I think it has to do with when you sign up, and what the rules are then? I'm not sure, but. There's got to be an answer out there.

You deserve to get them instantly. If not for all, for most listings... I don't get why they wouldn't be able to look more into it.

Great auction! I would bid on it except my credits are pending..i realize I'm fairly new so I understand. I have become a trusted seller but I guess that doesn't matter. It doesn't just affect us, it effects the potential sellers we'd be bidding on too. Well anyway thanks for sharing information I've been wondering about. Hi there...unfortunately, being a 'Trusted Seller' does not matter in the least. I have received so many "answers' on why I, and a minority of other established sellers, do not get them right away. I think the Powers that Be have no idea why this is.
I could accept this answer from them "We do not know".
But instead I have gotten 5 different answers so it is aggravating and unless & until I get either a real reason why, or a "we don't know", I will not shut up about this.

(Sorry, I just cannot help myself when this issue is brought up, lol,)

With that said, there is no better online selling platform than Listia when it comes to having fun and interacting with amazing people. My best friends I have met through here and that is akin to gold to me :)

great listing! after reading some of the comments and conversations in them i just wanted to mention how much i agree with soo many of you! i sometimes really wonder about the people "behind the curtain" when it comes to some things on Listia. if it werent for the inconsistencies this would be one of the best selling platforms online. i have had credits refunded to buyers who were clearly lying with me being able to prove it and it gets really frustrating sometimes!!! anyway, great listing and keep on doing what it is you do!

Agree totally. With all due respect to Listia, if they want to play with the Big Boys of online selling platforms, they need to listen to the people who contribute to their success.

We're not asking for perfection, but we want to be heard, have issues looked into and not, not, not receive a copy/paste, form response.

I agree with MelMeehan as well. The fact they just randomly select what sellers get their credits right away and what sellers do not really isn't a good incentive for people to try and be good sellers lol its basically saying even if you do EVERYTHING right & go above and beyond, you still won't have the right to get your credits transferred right away. I really admire that you don't give up and that you still list all these amazing auctions for everyone to bid on and deliver excellent service under these circumstances. It shows a lot about you as a person and as a seller. They state that once you become a "trusted seller" your credits will no longer pend, well they need clearly define at what point/how many auctions/positive feedbacks does it take to be a "trusted seller" and no longer have to wait for your credits? is that so hard to answer? They made the rule so they should know this. I still have half my auctions pending and yet sellers with less feedback have all their credits transferred. I too have emailed more than a few times and just got the same response everytime. That once I become a trusted seller they will transfer yet they failed to answer why people who have less feedback than I do get all their credits right away. I just gave up on it and stopped asking but now that I know almost all your credits are pending at your feedback, I really want them to answer, WHEN do we become trusted enough to get our credits?!

In May I requested that a supervisor get back to me & to Listia's credit (ha, no pun intended), a sup did reply back. Here is a copy/paste from that ticket:

"Immediate transfer of credits is a courtesy that we extend our Trusted Sellers. At times, even for Trusted Sellers, credits will go into a pending state. This will occur from time to time based on your trusted credit amount, credits being used on the items you are currently bidding on, and your completion rate. "

"Time to time", um no, try 90% of the time.
What is a 'completion rate'?
I replied back that this answer was unsatisfactory & asked the sup if they looked at my account, here is a copy/paste from their reply back:

"The system will automatically transfer your credits as a Trusted Seller, however, there are times where it will be delayed. If you have a lot of items that end at once at high values, if you are currently bidding on a lot of items, the system may put your credits into a pending state. This is to protect both you and your Winners. This is to prevent users from using all of their credits at once and potentially not sending out their items.

I'm sorry that this isn't the response you'd like to hear, but it is set in place so that our users are protected."

I take offense to the "at times" or there "are times" when credits pend. Again, 90% of the time is not 'at times', it is nearly all the time.

Further, does Listia really think that after so many auctions sold where I ship same/next day, etc, that I will ruin my name by skipping town with everyone's credits? I find that insinuation to be highly insulting.

A couple months after that ticket, I commented on their FB page,,,I did get an immediate, friendly reply back. This is when I received the 'computer randomly 'decides' when to award or pend' answer.

All i want is the real, truthful answer, if they don't know, fine! Tell us this!

It sure is alot of fun and in a short amount of time I've already met some great people. Hopefully things will change regarding credit holdings. It's unfortunate. It's great finding good listians, sometimes I get a little sketched out being new.

Oh gosh, it seems like just yesterday that I was new (summer '13 is when I first started listing on here), but wow, time flies!

I have found the vast majority of Listians are Cream of the Crop,,,,,,couple bad apples, but this is true on every site that has a 'social' atmosphere.

You have great auctions up! Very impressed, you will do well here :)

Hey Nawn, if you think Listia holding credits is bad, my daughter won on the rewards page item 3 weeks ago and she has asked about it for the last two weeks and they have ignored all of her emails, complaints and have never sent her the item she won. She said she gets better communication from the Listians on here then she does from Listia. I don't know what's going on with Listia but people are going to start bailing out soon if things don't change.

I have just started to use this and the first time i send something the lady said she never recieved it and i know for a fact i sent it to the post office but because i didnt use tracking they refunded her money back and then she sends me a message and says the shoes fit perfect but there is nothing i can do about it this sucks

i get riled up about lots of things that get a 'free pass' when others get slammed for the same things. this hasn't happened to me, but you can bet your sweet tushie that if it did, I'd be vocal and riled up about another discrepancy and discrimination.. good luck getting the system changed

85% of auctions your credits are pending?! Wow, I didn't realize that it was almost all your auctions. What happens when someone doesn't leave feedback? You have to wait the full 30 days or whatever it is? That's BS. I find the "its just random" excuse ridiculous. It should be earned and not randomly selected and I mean HELLO! You have earned the right to have your credits a hundred times over! Sheesh, what does a girl gotta do around here to get her credits?! Since honesty and being an amazing seller doesn't work you might have to start showin' some leg Nawn lol jk! I just REALLY hope that the customer service on this site improves and sellers are treated more fairly. Good sellers are what keeps this sure going ya know. This site can be so much fun and I love the idea of it. I also get to meet such wonderful people on here but the unfairness at times just completely turns me off to it. Oh and are you getting my messages? I keep replying back to ya but not sure if they going through. Hang in there and keep submitting those tickets. Maybe they'll finally just have enough and adjust it lol :)

My last 35 listings have pended. 627K credits, 27K availalbe.....600K pending. I took a screen shot because it is so utterly unbelievable to me.

I will check for messages, I have been sick for over a day but finally feeling better.
