Description

The listing, HUGE Lot of Acrylic Yarn: Over 7 Pounds Worth! Nice! FREE Shipping Too! :-D has ended.

This listing is for a Gigantic Lot of Acrylic Yarn! Over 7 Pounds Total!

A friend of mine gave me this yarn but I have so much already that I thought I would share. :-)

This listing includes an assortment of colors, the yarn is mostly worsted weight but there is a small amount of lighter weight as well. I organized and weighed it on my postal scale (weights do not include the plastic bags or any packaging -- just the yarn and any labels that were already on the skeins).

The colors/weights included in this auction:
- White/Ivory: 2 lbs, 10 oz.
- Green/Blue: 1 lb. 2 oz.
- Blue (big skein): 11.85 oz.
- Red, Pink, Orange: 1 lb.
- Purple & Purple Variegated: 13.85 oz.
- Light Blue/White & Light Blue: 5 oz.
- - the light blue & white are lighter-weight yarn
- Green Variegated: 5 oz.
- Yellow: 3 oz.

TOTAL = Over 7 Pounds of Yarn!

This yarn will be carefully packaged before being shipped to you.

Note: I live in a smoke-free home. This yarn came from a different home though -- I'm highly allergic to cigarette smoke and did not detect any smells on any on this yarn at all. (I didn't have an allergic reaction to it either. ;-)

Please note: As you know, colors appear differently on different monitors -- I tried to show the colors as 'true' as possible.

Free Standard Post shipping on this listing to verified Listia addresses only. All of my items come to you from a smoke-free cat-friendly home & will be very carefully packaged before being shipped.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck with your bidding & have fun! :)

Why such a long auction with no GIN?

I made this a longer auction because I will need that much time to make sure I have enough money for the shipping (I'm about to be laid-off from my job). Also, I'm selling stuff on another auction site which helps pay for the shipping and that takes time. Regarding the GIN -- I usually have no idea of what is a fair amount for a GIN.

Just wondering because usually auctions this long have a GIN! Watching and bidding thank you

Thanks -- I should have put a GIN...but I'm clueless as to how much.

Is there a Listia GIN 101 class out there somewhere? ;-)

LOL!

But don't let kitty eat acrylic yarn -- it could mess up their intestines and kitty would be sad. :-( Plus, I read that acrylic yarn is toxic to cats. I make cat toys for my online store and always use cotton yarn.

You're welcome. :)
Thanks. I was going to use hello kitty on an email years ago but it was taken and I didn't want to be hello kitty bunch of random numbers @ email. :) so I did it without the o and it worked and I've used it that way since. :)
I need to change my habit of what I call project hopping too. I'm getting a little better at it though.

That's what New Year's Resolutions are for, right? ;-) I've made some progress in that area but definitely still have a ways to go...

This auction is amazing and generous as well. I thought I was looking at part of my own yarn stash for a second there. I have all those exact yarns and colors too. :)
In addition to above inquiries on plastic canvas. I'm sure these would work great on plastic canvas as long as you keep your tension proper. Sewing too tight on the canvas can make the plastic break easily. I've used these kinds before. But I always get frustrated with my canvas project less than half way along and move onto something else. :)
F&W :)

Thank you -- for the info and the compliment on my auction. :-)

My the way, I LOVE your user name: Hellkitty -- LOL!

(I also have a problem with not finishing things -- I get too excited about the next project and just want wait to start it! I'm working on changing that though...)

Hi, I am new at this and I only have 1,000 credits. I wish I could get the yarn for my knitting Grp . We are located in Schaumburg township and knitt and crochet hats , blankets, mittens for the neddy kids and babies in the hospital . We could use the donation. Would you be so kind to help us?

I can check to see what I might have & will get back to you. I grew up around that area (and actually was a needy kid myself -- I grew up at Mooseheart. Ever hear of it?)

It looks like it would be great for plastic canvas. Looks like 4 ply yarn to me. I am way into plastic canvas; much more than a person should be LOL!!

I don't do GIN either...It costs you most of your points to use it. I make up for it by not making the auctions so long!!

Good idea -- I prob won't do such long auctions in the future. I did do a GIN recently and lost lots of credits. :-( Oh, well...

People don't like their points tied up for so long...You get more bids if you do auctions 8 days or less.... But it is a great Auction!! :-)

for plastic canvas ?
Dec 15th, 2014 at 9:02:53 PM PST by

Sorry, I don't know much about plastic canvas. I Googled 'what kind of yarn to use with plastic canvas" -- some people said they use regular yarn, some use yarn made specifically for plastic canvas (more expensive).

Sorry I can't be of more help...maybe someone else out there can answer t his better than I can?
