So much new . I went into ultra and they had spray on primers . I felt like people were painting themselves like you would a car .
I thought I knew it all . I quit wearing base and powders a few years ago bc my pores were being clogged and when I would take it off I would look pasty . I just wear blush lip stick and eye makeup and concealer under my eyes . There is so much more to makeup these days .

Omg I know... It's kind of insane at how much there is to know about makeup and different products. It's very overwhelming... Especially if you're not someone who needs or wants to wear a lot of makeup. I say, do what makes you feel good and leave the crazy stuff to the pros! Haha. I am a firm believer in eyeshadow primers though! Every once in a while I will apply my eyeshadow without one because I'm in a hurry, and the difference is insane. Every time I try to skip it, I regret it immediately lol

How do you apply these? Are you suppose to put on a base coat first ?

In my opinion you should use an eyeshadow base with all eyeshadows, but other than that, you can use them like any other shadow or you can moisten the brush/applicator to make the colors more vibrant and pigmented :)

I just had a really good one listed, but someone used GIN on it earlier. There are some good ones that are very adorable at the drugstore. Wet N Wild has one in their Fergie line that is pretty good. You can also use a matte cream eyeshadow as a base if you have one of those! Put a thin layer of a cream color cream eyeshadow on your lids, and to make blending easier, set it with a cream color eyeshadow or finishing powder. Apply eyeshadow and voilà! If this isn't helpful, you should totally check out youtube! There are a ton of tutorials for using eyeshadow primers or bases and then applying eyeshadow like a pro!

Lol! Don't worry.. I didn't bother with eyeshadow primers for years and once I tried it, I felt the same way! They just help make any eyeshadow look so much better and keeps your shadow in place all day long!
