Nominated for two Emmys® and a Golden Globe® Based on the bestselling novels by John Jakes, this star-studded Revolution-era romp follows the fortunes of a young Frenchman (Andrew Stevens) as he immigrates to America and crosses paths with historical heavyweights, including Paul Revere - William Shatner, Benjamin Franklin - Tom Bosley, Samuel Adams - William Daniels, and George Washington - Peter Graves. Overview
Adapted from a trilogy of bestselling novels by John Jakes, The Kent Family Chronicles are actually three epic-length movies that originally aired on prime time television in 1978 and 1979. Each individual film - The ***** (1978), The Seekers (1979) and The Rebels (1979) - is adapted from the Jakes novel of the same name. The first tells the story of Phillipe Charboneau, the illegitimate son of an English lord who makes a failed attempt to claim his inheritance and then journeys to pre-Revolutionary War America, where he works as a printer's apprentice and eventually fights on the battlefront. The second installment tells of Judson Fletcher, a Virginian who enlists to escape from the clutches of his father and ultimately befriends Phillipe; the two team up on a mission to retrieve a cannon from Fort Ticonderoga. The third installment tells the story of Jarod Kent, who fights in the War of 1812 on the high seas, then eventually heads into the west with his cousin Amanda. The films feature an all-star cast including Andrew Stevens, Tom Bosley , Kim Cattrall, William Shatner and Olivia Hussey.
This is the 3 disk box set. Only played once. If bidding goes over 50,000 credits I will include a separate DVD from the History Channel, (brand new in package, never opened) described in the comments section below because I couldn't fit it up here.

The American Revolution – Washington And Arnold by The History Channel

Brave but anonymous soldiers fight wars. But confident clever commanders win wars. The United States would have lost The American Revolution had it not been for the leadership of two great American Generals – George Washington and Benedict Arnold. We know about George Washington. But many Americans forget that Arnold started out, and fought, as a true patriot. Here are the intriguing strategies behind Washington's brave campaigns … and new insights about Arnold's own heroics. Se how two men – Washington and Arnold – found independence for a new nation.
Bonus material: “The World At War.” Discover who else besides the British and the American Colonies played significant roles in The Revolutionary War. This DVD is from The History Channel, still un-opened, and never played.

I loved this mini series on TV also. Believe it or not this was only released on DVD in 2012. Until that date it was only available on an over-priced VHS set. Not to say that this series isn't valuable or great - because it is, but they were asking 80.00 dollars plus before this ever came out on DVD.
