Description

The listing, Samsung 8gb Micro SDHC SD card with adapter and plastic locking case has ended.

Samsung is THE name in Data these days. There is no disputing that. From the early days of the SSD to the current terabyte Micro chips, Samsung is one of, if not the best name in storage, among other things.

This item is new and was only opened to test. There are NO marks on it other than where I marked 8gb on the case and this item FLIES when it transfers data. When I compae it to the other 8gb cards I have it is no match. The samsung wins hands down every time.

The auction is for the Micro SD/SDHC (Samsung)
The Micro SD to SD adapter (also Samsung)
and a Plastic case (showin in the pics.

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but I don't come here for reasonable deals. I'm here for the GREAT deals and outright steals I can find! ;)

There is no question about it, your GIN is reasonable. Another fact about which there is no question is that I'm shockingly cheap! :-) And my thinking is that if I'm patient, I can find a steal.

I am interested in both, definitely, but there is a lot of time before it ends still. I'll be around until it goes too high, and if I'm still here at the end, I'll probably bid. Unless I see something I can't pass up!

You know, no offense! I think that's what we're all here for are the great deals. Just my opinion, but I think that anybody thinking they can resell things here and even just make back their investment is in the wrong place. This is the place of last resort for squeezing that last little bit of value out of stuff you don't want, and are ready to give away or throwaway.

The way I see it, and from my experience in watching most digital media, the 8gb chip will go for about 8-10k. 16gb chips go for 20-30/ I know because I have spend a few hundred k on them just to resell them. I have now so many chips that it borders on the insane. I absolutely LOVE sniping auctions too. There is nothing more fun than catching an item with 3 seconds left. I also do a bit of buying and reselling. I bought a camera from here once for 20k, then I put a 4k 2gb SD card with it, bought a $6 charging cable and extra battery and then ginned it the next day for 75k. I am all about the steals and deals. However, go look at the prices for the 32gb cards (if there are any here on Listia) and THEN you will see why I am making such a fuss over this GIN on this auction. 1. Combining the 8gb and 32gb is a resellers dream 2. Just buying to keep is an excellent price and the most important reason number 3. I literally own 17 32gb cards. So there is that... That is about half of the amount of the 64gb cards I have too. I have them encrypted with AeS,Serpent, AeS+twofish, AeS+Serpent+Twofish, not encrypted, 64gb games card, 64gb books card (yeah I have a FULL 64gb SDXC with nothing but EPUB files) ranging from 0-50kb. I totally feel you on your side of the aisle though. I really do. If you look at some of my earliest auctions you will notice every so often I do some pretty ridiculous deals. Like Invicta watch Chris got for 90k and the insides, used, in crap condition were worth half a thousand bucks.

Wow! That WAS an insane deal! But I'd have never known it because I know bupkis about jewelry! :-) I just know what I like, what my gut tells me it's worth, and how to see how much it goes on eBay, Amazon, and some other auction style sites. Oh yes, and what I can afford! Which is often less than its worth! (Even sometimes less than what it's worth to ME!) My perception of worth is often at odds with both the market and society's perception. I'm not impressed by, for example, extra bells and whistles designed to impress, not add actual value to the owner by allowing him/her to do something neat sounding, but in practice they'll never take advantage of. To me, if a car is worth $20,000, whether it is clean or not is irrelevant. Fancy laser-cut floor mats do not impress me, nor do racing stripes, a jacked up suspension, or the color red. None of that is going to convince me to spend an extra $1,000, or even $100. Water is practically free, the floor mats can't be more than $50, a paint job is... honestly I don't know. But if it does what I want at a price I'm willing to pay, and isn't a public nuisance, I'm happy.

Oh, BTW, I definitely AM interested in the 32 and 64 GB cards. So when you auction those off, you could give me a shout! (Even though I bought 2 just a couple of months ago. NewEgg had a REAL steal on 32 MicroSD cards before Christmas. Something like $17. I got two, with the intent of auctioning one, but needed it myself! :( LOL! ) I won't always go for the win, but at the very least I'll watch!

Right now I'm looking for a bootable (I think they all are by now) 8GB (minimum) MicroSD card for the RaspberryPI I got over Christmas. Plus I'd like to install several operating systems on it, so actually, the bigger the better. Plus I made a mistake and ordered (what I thought at the time was) the newest one, which does not take standard SD cards, not realizing how much more the MicroSD cards are compared to SD cards of the same capacity!

I hope you didn't get caught up in the big dumping of fraudulent MicroSD cards from a couple years back. There are still a lot of companies trying to make their money back on Amazon and eBay, I know. In fact, the last 64GB MicroSD card I got on Listia could only hold about 2GB of data. Despite the fact it was silkscreened to say, and improperly formatted to report 64GB.

I was lucky and not only knew TO check, but also HOW to check. Nearly lost my entire MP3 collection because I FIRST typed out the MV (move) command, reconsidered, abc changed that to the CP (copy) command. Then used the CMP command to compare the copies to the original files. Also luckily for me the seller never even tried to argue with me, just refunded my credits and even telling me to keep it (I'd offered to send it back), perhaps because I sent her a report generated by a program designed to check for fraudulent chips.
