My friend just had a toshiba crap out haha. I chose Dell.

I think the ASUS really has the best specs... Well, it has the biggest hard drive, longest battery, almost the lightest by .1lb, wireless N, Win 7 starter. Only thing not as good is the .3 MP webcam which others have a 1.3 so not a big deal there. Only thing I guess I don't know about is the video card but it's a netbook so whatever.

I voted for the Dell, simply because it has the highest price tag of the four. I like Dells, but I'll be happy with whatever you guys choose for me.

Hey Listia, how about maxing out the ram on the winning netbook above a certain number of credits???? Or, can the winner get the computer ordered with additional RAM and other features at their expense?

I guess I'm switching my vote tomorrow to the ASUS ... it has a VGA connector, which means you can use it with a large monitor.

Oh no, don't get confused with Acer and ASUS lol. Totally different. I would never recommend Acer/gateway personally... ASUS is a relatively newer company compared to Dell, Toshiba and HP but they offer the best bang for the buck. With the other brands you may think you are getting something special but really, you're just paying extra for the name brand and huge corporate profits...
Like all these computers, the one thing I didn't like about my ASUS was how much junk was preloaded on it. It was easy to remove but killed loading time the first few times before I got it all removed.

@ msprissysmom: Are you stupid? That's completely false. Acer purchased Gateway for 710M. Acer was never called Gateway.

Wow. This auction is barely up, has over 30 days left and is ALREADY over 18000 credits!

I could bid on it myself right now, but why?!!

Here's a novel idea to help generate newcomer interest: Everyone who has tens of thousands of credits, please refrain from bidding on it immediately.

Here are a few reasons why....

1. You still have a MONTH left to bid on it, so what's the hurry?

2. These enormous opening bids absolutely SCARE off any new ones from even trying to bid and having the pleasure of being ABLE to bid on a big ticket item.

3. For all of those who aren't the winning bidder, you have all those tens of thousands of credits tied up and put on "hold" until the auction is over--you cannot use them to bid on another item until the auction is complete.

I'm not on a soap box, but I really think that in the fairness of Listia, can't all the high-rollers wait until at least the last WEEK of the auction to place their bids?

Oh hell bid all your credits! Dell has been the best for me. I destroyed my laptop keypad by typing on Listia and repaced it in 15 minutes with a new one from feebay...lol Still typing...lol

@mdisbell - #3 is incorrect - your credits are only tied up if you are the winning bidder. Once you are outbid, they are free to use anywhere else.
