I don't think it works on the older model and am I getting rid of cause I got ps3 the kinect is brand new I have the 250g Xbox that goes with the kinect but with all the games I collected I'm keep in it but don't get into the kinect maybe here and there to voice movies without controls but here it is for someone that may enjoy better

I've heard it does & also heard it does'nt.....do you have an original 360? And have or had a kinect hooked up to it? my son has the elite but the 1st elite didnt have wifi so we bought him the wifi adapter but never tried to hook the kinect up to his system.....

In regards to compatibility:

Yes, it is compatible with original 360's *however* new 360's have a special port for giving power to the Kinnect while the old ones lack this port and must be plugged into an outlet. Hope that helps!

It doesn't require it, but you can buy one for about $15. For some people it may make life easier - but isn't necessary.

It works on all xb0x 360 systems. The newer one only needs one plug where the white one has to have the kinect with a seperate power plug
