FREE: ps3 can you fix it???

have you tried any thing else to fix it ?

I have a ps3 and I also had an update last night .

But it didn't break or shutdown.

hey jazzy when u power it on did you try and hold on the power button on the front? usually it might work

but then again my first ps3 got screwed up too.... i was using the back switch to power it off and on again so yeah :)

hey jazzy i suppose you can do one of 2 things with it....
either send it back to sony and say it doesnt work (get mad and say you sent me a piece of .....) or buy another ps3 and put this one back in the box and return it...just make sure you check out the return policy. Tell them it doesnt work and it just died. Either way its going back to sony and thats what they get for sending you a lemon :)

honestly its a nice system its just bad luck getting a messed up device :) hopefully you can take back the auction off lista. i really feel bad because it really is an awesome system and in around october they are going to have controllers like wii and support for it too.....wow and i dont even work for sony

YEah mine got messed up like in 2 months... to deal with sony really sucks they just throw their hands up ...my situation was a little bit different i got it throught credit card rewards so i told the bank and they handled it for me..... honestly buy a new one put this one in the box and say it doesnt work return it ...i hate getting ripped off id rather have sony suffer for a bad product then you losing outta pocket. any how enough on my rant :)

This is great, I love my Wii too more than Playstation, but my hubby loves the playstations and xboxes. By the way teddy you are sweet for all you are doing to help Jazzy. Thanks !

Is the error code (8002F155), by any chance?

I've heard that the new 3.30 update has been causing problems in some of the systems and even bricking them. That might have been what happened to your PS3. Although people have found ways to unbrick PSPs, so I'm sure someone might be able to figure it out eventually if Sony doesn't do something about it.

So it has all cables? any manuals do you still have original box?

The same thing happened to a friend of mine's ps3 slim when he installed the update. All he did was remove the hard drive, wipe it out, and put it back in and it worked fine.

Can you provide us with the model # off the unit, as well as the exact error message or a pic with the error message. I am sure what a lot of people are trying to do is figure out via internet research whethor or not the unit can be repaired. Right now I am sure everyone is cautious to bid on a useless chunk of plastic, but with the exact problem in mind, and a solution or two being researched and posted, I am sure this auction would sky rocket. I would be willing to spend a little time researching the issue and post for you if you would provide the basic info I requested. Another question is why are you not including the controller?

turn the ps3 on and write down exactly any error message u see and post it here! if it can be fixed, i could tell u how, and u can even stop auctioning it!

My husband has one of these too, and just like yours it read a error code while updating. We checked on the internet and fixed it our self. It is a pain in the * though. Nice auction, I'm sure someone will find out how to fix it. It is a great system. And understand not wanting to take it apart. I wouldn't want to either. Sucks that sony wants to charge for something you could prolly fix on your own if sony would just say here do this. But I guess all they want is the money. Nothing new there though. Good luck hun.

sounds like the hard drive went bad, you can get a small one for 150 off of ebay and it should fix it

pull the hard drive out and try to start it, i bet it starts for a minute untill it reconizes the hard drive is not there..
