Quick story before the listing, Ive been a member of Listia almost as soon as listia was created in 2009. Probably 1 of the first 100 or so anyway. Ive seen this site come a Loooong way, back then you could get say a $5.00 amazon card for a couple hundred credits if that and you knew almost everbody,We even auctioned off a paper sack with a face drew on it for almost a year.Listia even hired some of the users as moderators for the site so may as well say Listia is ran by users who have been on our side of the playing field and we fought hard keeping the bad apples trying to scam off the site. My point is If your here to scam people thinking its only credits, No its just as good as money and its cost us money as well. We bought the things we list sometime or another and we most the time ship it so thats more money. Besides it wont get tyou nowhere anyway. Lista learned quick how to cut down on scammers after refunding enough credits. Now if you do actually get an auction conpleted by the time you could get the credits and spend them on another item your already found out. So please don't take the enjoyment away from us users who enjoy the site.

Thank you. Yes since I have heard how there is a lot of scamming going on or people trying to scam I thought it would be a good idea to share my listia adventure with everyone. This was a great idea for a site but I can only imagine the precautions being taken to assure us a fair listing place and some of it includes the cost to listia it has taken to do this. Listia has grown huge since i started so it no longer feels like a cozy family as it did then but scanning is wrong and either way I'm sure listia wants the site to be as enjoyable now as it was then

Yes!! Finally someone who feels as I do about these rash of new members that are just scammers and they are making it hard for all of us LOYAL LISTIA USERS, BUYERS AND SELLERS to enjoy our little site which has now become a big site.
I too am a member who joined up when this was just a start up site. December 18, 2009 to be exact. I remember when listia had no advertisers at all until one day I signed in and thought my computer had double paged me or something. I saw these ads for whatever it was at the time advertisers were advertising on spots they paid for on this site to be able to advertise their goods. When I then realized just what I was seeing I had a yoo hoo moment and silently thought my shout out of
WAY TO GO LISTIA!! Free enterprise is still alive and kicking in our good ol US of A. So yes it too pi#*es me off when I see the cr*p new sign ons try to pull and they must not think or care that they may be giving someones dream buissiness a bad rap! Bad feedback can be devastating to any buissiness, big or small, new or old. Its a ripple effect people so stop doing this. Listia staff are smart enough and now tech savvy enough to catch ya all. And us "old timers" who have Listias back just are not going to let you get away with it...no way-no how.
