no idea hun , maybe is a defective piece .. if still under guarantee it can be sent back ..that's what I'll do if I were you ..
Check also with an IT specialist at Office Depo - they might be able to fix it

@janiefay: Sounds like it is trying to brick. Do a search online for hard resetting your particular piece of hardware. Sometimes it is holding the on button for 15 seconds or such. Good luck. Unlike Windows OS, Androids are pretty hard to brick :)

I just started on here so I may not have the credits for this but its nice to know somewhere down the road I may :) My boyfriend bought me the Acer but he whined so much about wanting the same one I got sick of hearing it and gave it back to him .
