Thanks for asking! I forgot to include these details when I posted the auction. I will update notes above as well, but to answer you questions:

The unit has an internal memory of 16MB. You can download directly from your camera to the unit (without using a SD card) up to the 16MB internal memory.

To expand the memory, there is an SD card included with the unit - - - so if you need more pictures...the SD card that is included will handle many more. You can always upgrade the SD card to handle as many photos as you want, or purchase additional SD cards and switch them out - for new pictures to display.
