It is color, holds up to 8 G SD card. The SD card is NOT included with the item. It does not state if it will play movies. But it does not state that it will not.

May I be so bold, My old Literati had a sd card slot ... it was for holding more books and other pda files. I don't believe it has a flash player which is needed to play movies or videos.

Basicly this is an e-reader, not a tablet. Big difference. Similar to the Kindles, basic kindle is just an e-reader to what is the Kindle Fire which is a tablet too. By what is in the ad above it says E_reader for books and magazines etc.
