I have 4 silver cups. Here are the details of each individual cup (you get all 4 in this auction)
1) Made by: "Reed & Barton Sterling". This exact cup is model "X162". The company no longer makes this cup, however they still make model "X163" which sells for $260. This cup is engraved in the side with "Kylie 10-20-99". The company says this cup is "Sterling Silver"
2) Made by "Oneida SilverSmiths". This cup is silver plated and is NOT engraved on the sides.
2.5" (6.4 cm) high, 3.5" (8.9 cm) wide including the handle and 2.5" (6.4 cm) in diameter.
3) Reed & Barton sterling model "X210. This cup IS still made by the company and sells for $270
H. 2 1/4", Cap. 5 oz.
This cup is engraved on the side with "JACK 4~19~02"
4) There is a light engraving on the bottom that I can not make out so I do not know who makes this cup. However I would have to guess the same as cup number 1 due to the engraving on the side is the same name. "Kylie Lynne October 20, 1999". This cup is Stirling silver. This cup looks very similar to the Reed & Barton model "LX100" which sells for $255.
I estimate the total retail value of these cups at a combined $850
As usual these items come from a NON smoking house hold with NO pets along with free shipping and tracking number!
the cups are numbered 1 threw 4, in the order of the first main picture from left to right.
Questions & Comments
Fanned and watching for sure !
thanks
The company "Reed & Barton" state in there description of these cups on there web site that these are indeed "Sterling Silver". A company who has been around since 1824, I don't see lying about their claims. However I am far from a silver expert.
Cup 2 is plated, not sterling.
Cup # 4 has a light engraving on the bottom but it is unreadable. Other than the engraved name I mentioned in the description, there are no other markings.
I know putting a magnet on jewelry helps find fake jewelry, I am sure it's not fool proof, but so everyone knows, the magnet was not sticking to any part of the cups and the magnet I used was a powerful one which would easily stick to anything it could grab onto.
Thank you for your question!
Good Luck
