Alfalfa is the perfect seed for sprouting.
Put 1/2 tsp of seeds in a small clear jar
about 1 cup size.
Put in 1/4 cup of water. Stretch an old
piece of nylon over the top of the jar and
secure with a strong rubber band.

Swirl around the water in the jar to rinse
the seeds and then let the water drain out.

Fill jar about 1/2 full and soak 4-8 hours.
Rinse. Then twice a day, put water in the
jar and rinse. Leave the jar at an angle
so the water can drain out into a bowl
between rinsing.

In just a few days, you will see sprouts.
You can let them get up to 1.5" long.
Great on sandwiches, in salads, and
very nutritious!
If you eat a lot of sprouts, you can do
larger batches, or have multiple jars going
at the same time.

Seeds may be dusted with a non-chemical bacteria that is not harmful, but is designed
to enhance germination by attracting
oxygen to the germination process.
