China Sky Blue Rose

According to Graham Stuart Thomas, China Roses are the class upon which modern roses are built.[7] Today's exhibition rose owes its form to the China genes, and the China Roses also brought slender buds which unfurl when opening. I'm sorry that you purchased these seeds, but blue and black (or the rainbow) roses do not exist. The flowers are created by injecting dye into stems during the development of the flower. These roses will not grow these colored roses from seed without the injections. The closest that botanists have come to creating a blue rose is a purple one, but the roses will not be blue unless you use the dye. These colors have been sought after for literally hundreds of year, but it has not been done... There is a possibility that blue roses may come out soon, but it is not official (still under development at Martino Cassanova Seed Institution in South Hampshire)

It's not a matter of whether I want them or not, but the person who wins this will be upset when their roses are white or light purple, instead of blue. For those that want to bid, I would encourage to read the following article and then do some quick research on these "blue" roses:

Well rather they are real or injected with a dye, they are still very pretty. So what if they are injected anyway as long as they come out blue and they are different.

While I would love to have a real blue rose to give to my grandma, they went extinct over 400 years ago and the only one who had them was the Emperors of China in the royal gardens, as it was against the law for anyone else to even have seeds for punishment of death. However, that being said if your roses really grow true blue when they grow please leave me a message. I would love to actually pay credits for the seeds. It has been a extream long passion of mine to find a real blue rose.

This sounds like a scam to me. your buying seeds that you can probably get for less from china or if u have friends from there, you can get them for free. I think you should be honest in your auction because blue roses dont exist without dye. You should be like 'Bid on some seeds from china' and be legit about it. LOL to the morons who bidded on seeds. Scam much.. I think so.

I'm sorry but you have been swindled if the people who gave you these seeds promised you they would be true blue because todderfodder is right there is no blue real blue rose my father has been planting and studying roses for over 40 years and never has he ever seen a real blue rose. For over 20 years Japan has been trying to genetically design one but no real success yet they have made one with blue on the outside with a white vented but not true blue
