Wild Violet is a low-growing, clumping perrenial with a dense, fibrous root system and heart shaped leaves that often cup toward the petiole to form a funnel shape. The flowers have 5 petals.

The Viola, typically have heart shaped, scalloped leaves. They are also considered a caulescent in habit - meaning they lack any noticable stems and the foliage and flowers appear to rise from the ground.

Ornamental flowers greatly used for containers, borders, rock gardens and ground cover. Great to use to control erosion on banks.

These can be invasive. They are drought resistant with no care needed.
