This is a LAN Adapter for the Nintendo Wii. If you don't own a wireless router, you can't connect to the internet via the wii. Updates and game downloads require an internet connection.
The LAN Adapter plugs into the back of the wii and allows you to plug a regular internet cable (ethernet cable) into it.
It is in perfect working condition and looks brand new. I am getting rid of it because I recently purchased a wireless router and no longer need it.

I know what you mean. I didn't have a router for a long time and needed this to connect to the internet channel. This item is in perfect working condition, so good luck.

I have WI-Fi, but the connection acts up all the time. This is perfect. Is this a Wii product, or just something you can purchase for any device?

a regular LAN adapter won't work. it has to be the 'official' one.

hmm, that is a very good possibility. If I had a PS2 I would check it out, but I don't. If you win the bid, you can try it out yourself, and all you really risk is some free points.
