It is a water proof carrying case for tiny pills, notes, diabetic test strips, etc. It can be used as such or keyring can be removed and with an added chain or roping, can be worn around one's neck.

So an item you may need is always close. Even a loved ones lot of hair or ashes can be enclosed and even sealed with a bit of super glued and preserved, so they are always with you. About 2 inches; 2.5 inches if you add in key chain link
