does it work

i connected the cable modem. it powers up, the PC/ACTIVITY light flashes (indicating it is connecting with the computer via the LAN connection).

because we are connected via Verizon's FIOS system, the cable modem could not communicate and authenticate with Verizon's FIOS servers.

last time i had it connected was about a year ago, and it worked flawlessly. no longer needed it when we switched to Verizon, and they provided their own. will try and test it in the next couple hours.

is it a wireless modem?

it isn't a wireless modem, but it does have a USB connection so you can either connect either via Ethernet or via USB.

do u have to screw your cable cord into this
Sep 27th, 2012 at 3:46:27 PM PDT by
Original
yes, you would take the cable cord into the connection in the back of the modem. you can then either connect your computer via Ethernet or USB to the modem for internet connections.
