This Stuff is Free Too:
This is an AMAZING piece of Peruvian Sterling Silver and yes it is marked as shown in picture 2.
Also this is a "Carlo Mario Camusso" piece and it is also marked as shown in picture 2.
As you can see, the right side of the coat of arms features a palm branch while the right side exhibits an oak laurel, representing victory and glory, respectively.
The escutcheon, or shield, consists of three elements featuring a vicuña (Peru's national animal), the cinchona tree and a cornucopia spilling coins at the bottom.
The crest is topped with a civic crown (a laurel of oak leaves woven to form a crown).
You will then see, The number "925" and a the traditional Camusso flag trademark and The final marks read "Camusso"
Camusso Silver, was started in 1933 as a one person shop, and became a stock company in 1946. Run by three generations with the common denominator being "Transform Silver into Art", And it has become synonymous with quality for many years.
As far as this piece, It could use a good cleaning as it is an older piece. I have looked up values of Camusso's pieces and they range from hundreds to thousands of dollars. I have no clue of the value of this piece.
In fact, I am not sure if it part of a set of sorts or if it is a piece by its self.
Remember, It is a SOLID STERLING piece, Marked and Very Old. So I am starting the bidding low. I know the winner will be happy with this piece. Thanks, Austin.
